The objective function and constraint expression making up the selection conditions are solved as a mathematical programming assignment problem, whereby advertisement information is selected for insertion into predetermined slots in a manner maximizing the benefits of the parties participating in the scheme. Also, the specified area can be moved on the picture and the appearance frequencies for each of the colors in each area are accumulated, so that the accumulated appearance frequencies can be used to specify the color palette colors.
