The vehicle seat includes a seat cushion and a seat back. The seat back includes one shaft member, a mount frame having a first bearing and a second bearing, and a first operation section and a second operation section which are arranged side by side. The shaft member is attached to the first and the second bearings, having no fixing section for the mount frame between the first and the second bearings, and serving as a center around which the first and the second operation sections are rotated.

Vehicle seat and seat operations section

In the case of a seat with an armrest on an automobile, an armrest lock mechanism may be released by, for example, the gravitational acceleration (G) in the event of vehicle collision. Accordingly, it is necessary to provide an anti-G spring for biasing to prevent the lock mechanism from being easily released. The purpose of the present invention is to provide an armrest unlocking device that enables a decrease in size of the anti-G spring. In order to solve the problem, provided is an armrest unlocking device in gear, the device operating such that the locking of the lock gear and the sector gear can be released by operating a lever link bracket so as to raise the lock gear, wherein the lock gear has a center of rotation thereof aligned with the position of the center of gravity.

Seat with armrest, and armrest unlocking device for use therewith

A seat moves along a rail in the front-back direction of a vehicle. A juxtaposed member (receiving member) extending in the front-back direction of the vehicle is joined to a floor or the seat so as to be located next to the rail. A detected portion is provided either to the juxtaposed member or to a member which is located on the floor side or the seat side which moves relative to the floor or the seat to which the juxtaposed member is coupled. A sensor that detects the detected portion is provided either to the juxtaposed member or to the member located on the floor side or the seat side. As a result of this configuration, the installation position of the sensor is less spatially restricted than the case in which the sensor is provided to the rail.

Seat device

A vehicle seat with a child seat may have an engagement member, comprising anchors to hold the child seat. Each anchor may have a pair of left and right side bars and a front bar coupled to the side bars. The front bars are engaged with the engagement member. The side bars are secured by brackets to a connecting pipe of the seat cushion or the seatback. Each recess may be made in a pad. A trim cover may have openings each above the recess. The engagement member may have a bifurcated shape and has a groove engaged with the front bar. The connecting members, having one end connected to a trim cover terminal behind the opening and the other end engaged with the bracket, may be wound around the connecting pipe and stretched between the bracket and the trim cover terminal, each drawing the terminal into the recess.

Vehicle seat

A part of the planar member, which is defined by the slits and extends over the center groove made in a seat pad, serves as a bridge part. As the sewn part of a trim cover is pulled into the groove, the bridge part is pressed onto the sewn part of the trim cover and pulled into the groove, together with the sewn part, and is bend in the form like letter U and held in the groove. The groove defines a through hole penetrating the seat pad at the bridge part of the planar member. The bridge part is not pressed onto the bottom of the groove even if the seat pad undergoes compressive deformation and is pressed down in the groove, because the groove has no bottom at some parts.

A seat cushion of vehicle seat including a seat cushion frame and a bottom panel member on which a foam padding is mounted. The bottom panel member has a thigh support area fixed to a forward portion of the seat cushion frame and a buttocks support area situated in a rearward portion of the seat cushion frame. The buttocks support area has a resiliently deformable area in which are formed beads, each being resiliently stretchable laterally relative to the central line thereof by a downward load applied to the buttocks support area, whereby the resiliently deformable area is rendered deformable and displaceable downwardly. The buttocks support area may be made narrow by forming two inwardly curved edge portions in the respective sides thereof to thereby allow that buttocks support area to be warped downwardly. Hence, the buttocks support area is resiliently displaceable vertically relative to the seat cushion frame.

Seat cushion of vehicle seat

A shoulder receiving portion is defined in each of two lateral frame members of seat back framework of vehicle seat in order to receive two shoulder portions of seat occupant in the case of rear-end collision, prior to a seat occupant's back portion being moved close to an upper frame member of the seat back framework. The shoulder receiving portion is therefore arranged in an upper region of each of the two lateral frame members so as to project forwardly from a plane where the two lateral frame members lie, and the upper frame member is formed in substantially 'inverted-U' shape and inclined backwardly distant from the two lateral frame members, This arrangement avoids unpleasant pressed touch to be given to the seat occupant's back portion in the case of rear-end collision and may prevent a great impact from being imparted to vertebrae of the seat occupant.

Seat back framework

In an upper frame member of seat back framework, an upward-slippage prevention portion is simply defined to prevent a seat occupant's back portion from being slipped or dislocated on and along a seat back in the case of rear-end collision. The upward-slippage prevention portion has a sloped region for receiving the seat occupant's back portion which is to be slipped or dislocated on and along the seat back under inertia when a rear-end collision occurs and thereby preventing an undesired upward slippage or dislocation of that seat occupant's back portion which will result in damage of his or her neck or cervical vertebrae.

A vehicle seat, including two links movable for adjustment in height of the seat, is provided with a reinforcing transmission shaft. The reinforcing transmission shaft is rotatably connected between two frame members of seat cushion frame in the seat, while extending through the two links. Further, two pinions are fixed on the respective two end portions of the reinforcing transmission shaft and respectively meshed with two gear portions defined in the respective two links. With such arrangement, in the case of rear-end collision, most of great load applied to the links is transmitted, via the reinforcing transmission shaft, pinions and gear portions, to each of the two frame members, thereby preventing deformation of one of the two links to avoid lowering of the seat or inclination of one side of the seat as found in a rear-end collision case.

Vehicle seat including a link for raising and lowering the seat and a tilt pan disposed forwardly of seat cushion frame of the seat. Rotatably provided to the seat cushion frame is an actuator link having: one end portion pivoted to the tilt pan; and another end portion formed with sector gear portion and arcuate hole. A pin for supporting a gear case having a pinion meshed with the sector gear portion is fixed to the seat cushion frame. Such pin is used with both of the link and actuator link, in common. Namely, an upper end portion of the link and the afore-said another end portion of actuator link are collectively disposed at that pin so as to overlap each other, and the upper end portion of link is pivotally connected to the pin, whereas the pin passes through the arcuate hole of actuator link.

Parameters are received that include prediction coefficients representing a speech spectral envelope characteristic, impulse positions of an excitation signal, and zero filter coefficients which provide a sequence of impulses with a shape resembling a phase-equalized residual of a speech. An impulse sequence generator produces a sequence of impulses having the impulse positions, which are fed into a zero filter. The zero filter provides, under control of the zero filter coefficients, the sequence of impulses with a shape resembling a phase-equalized residual of the speech. The output of the zero filter is fed as an excitation signal into an all-pole filter which is controlled by the prediction coefficients to produce a synthesized speech.

Speech synthesizing method and apparatus therefor

An impulse sequence of a pitch frequency is detected from a phase-equalized prediction residual of an input speech signal, and a quasi-periodic impulse sequence is obtained by processing the impulse sequence so that a fluctuation in its pitch frequency is within an allowed limit range. The magnitudes of the quasi-periodic impulse sequence are so determined as to minimize an error between the waveform of a synthesized speech obtainable by exciting an all-pole filter with the quasi-periodic impulse sequence and the waveform of a phase-equalized speech obtainable by applying the input speech signal to a phase equalizing filter. Preferably, the quasi-periodic impulse sequence is supplied to the all-pole filter after being applied to a zero filter in which it is given features of the prediction residual of the speech. Coefficients of the zero filter are also determined so that the error of the waveforms of the synthesized speech and the phase-equalized speech is minimum.

Speech analysis-synthesis method and apparatus therefor

A speech signal processing system in which the correlation is removed from the sample values of a speech waveform supplied to an inverse-filter for obtaining sample values of a prediction residual waveform, phase-equalizing filter coefficients are determined to have phase-characteristic inverse to that of the prediction residual waveform at each pitch position of the speech waveform, the phase-equalizing filter coefficients are set as filter coefficients of the phase-equalizing filter, and the speech waveform or the prediction residual waveform is passed through the phase-equalizing filter, thereby zero-phasing the prediction residual waveform or the prediction residual waveform component in the speech waveform and concentrating energy around the pitch position.

Speech signal processing system

A time series of spectral parameters is extracted from a learning speech, the spectral parameters are divided into a plurality of segments for each voice interval, and the segments are clustered into a plurality of clusters. For each cluster an initial reference pattern representing the cluster is computed. The segment boundaries are corrected using the computed reference patterns (a correcting step), the segments of the corrected spectral parameter time series are clustered (a clustering step), and for each cluster, a reference pattern representing the cluster is computed (a reference pattern computing step). The correcting step, the clustering step, and the reference pattern computing step are performed at least once, and the reference patterns obtained by the last reference pattern computing step are regarded as reference patterns desired to be obtained.

Reference speech pattern generating method

An adaptive predictive coding (APC) and adaptive kit allocation (ABA) system which splits a speech signal into a plurality of bands, subjecting each signal to adaptive predictive coding and adaptively changes quantization characteristics in the adaptive predictive coding so that quantization noise may become small. An average amplitude (not average power) of the signal of each band is detected for each temporal sub-interval, and a quantization bit number and a quantization step size are adaptively determined from the average amplitude for each sub-interval, thereby permitting reduction of the quantity of hardware used.
