An electronic endoscope has a light source configured to emit normal light toward an object and a rotating filter configured to be positioned in the path of light that passes from the light source to an image sensor. The rotating filter has an optical band-pass filter and a ND filter. The electronic endoscope has further a rotation controller that synchronizes a light-path traverse-interval of the band-pass filter and a light-path traverse-interval of the ND filter with a field/frame interval; and an image generator that generates a normal image from broadband image-pixel signals and generates a spectral image from specific-band image-pixel signals. The image generator has a brightness adjuster that increases a brightness level of the spectral image. Then, the ND filter reduces an amount of light emitted from the light source to an amount of light that corresponds to an increased brightness of the spectral image.

Electronic endoscope

An endoscope light source device is constituted by a first light source unit that emits light in a first wavelength band, a second light source unit that emits light in a second wavelength band, a light path combining means for combining the light paths of the light emitted from the first and second light source units, and a light source control means for controlling light emission of the light source units separately. When the light source units are driven to emit light in a first mode, the respective wavelength bands of light are emitted at a first intensity ratio and combined with each other to obtain normal light, which is supplied to an endoscope. Also, when the light source units are driven to emit light in a second mode, the respective wavelength bands of light are emitted at a second intensity ratio having a relatively lower ratio of the light in the second wavelength band, and are combined with each other to obtain special light that has a high light absorption rate in a specific biological tissue, and the special light is supplied to the endoscope.

Endoscope light source device and endoscope system

An endoscope system includes a processor and displays a distribution image of living substance feature amounts obtained from an imaged image of a living tissue. The processor calculates the living substance feature amount in the living tissue, for example, an amount of hemoglobin and oxygen saturation of the hemoglobin using components of color image data of the living tissue illuminated with at least two lights, generates the feature amount distribution image illustrating a distribution of the living substance feature amounts, and controls display of the feature amount distribution image in order to display the generated feature amount distribution image so as to be superimposed on the image of the living tissue.

Endoscope system

An endoscope system generates first to third color image data by imaging biological tissue illuminated with first to third light. The endoscope system uses a first light intensity ratio of the first light and the second light, and/or an imaging sensitivity of the image sensor, to correct a first ratio between multiple components of the first and second color image data, and the endoscope system calculates a first characteristic amount of the biological tissue based on the first corrected ratio. Furthermore, the endoscope system uses a second light intensity ratio between the second light and the third light to correct a second ratio between multiple components of the second and third color image data, and the endoscope system calculates a second characteristic amount of the biological tissue based on the second corrected ratio and the first characteristic amount.

Endoscope system and characteristic amount calculation method

A processor of an endoscope system uses components of color image data of biological tissue illuminated by at least two types of light to generate an oxygen saturation distribution image of hemoglobin in the biological tissue and to calculate a certainty of an oxygen saturation. Furthermore, the processor controls a display mode of the oxygen saturation distribution image according to the degree of the certainty. The certainty drops if the value of a first component a of the color image data is lower than a lower limit threshold value. The certainty drops if the value of a second component b of the color image data is greater than an upper limit threshold value. The lower limit threshold value and the upper limit threshold value are values of two different pieces of color image data.

An endoscope system includes: a light source unit that alternatingly emits first illumination light and second illumination light; an imaging means for generating a first image signal of a subject illuminated by the first illumination light, and generating a second image signal of the subject illuminated by the second illumination light; a first image signal storing means for storing the first image signals; a second image signal storing means for storing the second image signals; an image evaluation value calculating means for calculating at least one of image evaluation values based on the first image signals and image evaluation values based on the second image signals; an image signal selecting means for selecting a first display image signal and selecting a second display image signal based on the image evaluation values; and a displaying means for displaying a first image and a second image that are based on the first display image signal and the second display image signal respectively.

Endoscope system that displays two still images of a subject illuminated by two types of lights having different wavelength bands

An endoscope system captures images of biological tissue when illuminated with first to third light, and generates first to third color image data. The amount of hemoglobin in the biological tissue and the oxygen saturation of the hemoglobin are calculated using components of the first to third color image data, an oxygen saturation distribution image that shows the distribution of the oxygen saturation is generated, and control is performed such that the generated oxygen saturation distribution image is displayed superimposed on a captured image of the biological tissue on a display. The oxygen saturation is calculated based on the amount of hemoglobin and a second ratio obtained using components of the color image data. The transparency is adjusted for pixels in which the value of the second ratio is outside an allowable range for the second ratio determined according to the amount of hemoglobin.

There is provided a data distribution system having a distribution device for holding a data file which is a distribution object and a plurality of user terminals, wherein each of the user terminals obtains each of a plurality of file pieces from any of the other user terminals or the distribution device, the plurality of file pieces being obtained by dividing the data file, and the plurality of file pieces obtained are assembled to thereby obtain the data file, at least one predetermined file piece among the plurality of file pieces is a restricted piece for which obtaining from the other user terminals is restricted, and the distribution device restricts distribution of the restricted piece to each of the user terminals, based on a predetermined condition.

Data distribution system

To readily select a data file to be obtained from among data files to be distributed, or to readily recommend such a data file to a user, while suppressing a load imposed on a data distribution system. A data distribution system comprises a distribution device for holding data files which are distribution objects, and user terminals. Each of the user terminals obtains each of file pieces from any of other user terminals or the distribution devices, the file pieces being obtained by dividing one object file among the data files to be distributed, obtains a list of data files having been obtained by another user terminal when obtaining a file piece from the other user terminal, and assembles the obtained file pieces to obtain the object file, in which information of the data files included in the obtained list is used in selecting a data file to be newly obtained.

A readout device includes a first recording medium having recorded therein data of arbitrary plural portions of a period of a predetermined length in temporally continuous content; a second recording medium having recorded therein data of the entire content; and a readout control unit that controls, when the readout of data of the content is requested, the readout of data from the first recording medium and from the second recording medium such that data of any one of the portions recorded in the first recording medium is read out and data following the data read out from the first recording medium is read out from the second recording medium.
