An orientation control apparatus and a method thereof are provided. The orientation control apparatus for controlling orientation of a phased array antenna includes the phased array antenna and an orientation controller. In the phased array antenna, a plurality of antenna elements are disposed on a plane. The phased array antenna receives a signal transmitted from at least one transmitter. The orientation controller controls orientation of the phased array antenna based on a channel estimated result of each sub array where the plurality of antenna elements have been grouped in the phased array antenna.

A communication apparatus, method, and system are provided. The communication apparatus receives through a transmission path a combined signal in which modulated signals are combined. The communication apparatus converts a channel matrix indicating transmission characteristics of the transmission path using a basis conversion matrix which converts column vectors forming the channel matrix to cross at right angles, estimates a transmission symbol using the converted channel matrix, and calculates a likelihood of each bit of the estimated transmission symbol being a '1' and a '0', respectively, using an inverse matrix of the basis conversion matrix. The method includes converting a channel matrix; estimating a transmission symbol; and calculating a likelihood of each bit being a &#x201c;1&#x201d; and a &#x201c;0&#x201d;, respectively, of the estimated transmission symbol using a basis conversion matrix. The system includes a transmitter and receiver for transmitting and receiving, respectively, a combined signal according to the method.

A multi-input multi-output orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) transceiving system is provided, in which an MIMO-OFDM receiver feeds back ordering information, such as the order of power intensities of reception signals of a plurality of reception antennas, to an MIMO-OFDM transmitter. The MIMO-OFDM transmitter arranges subcarriers, to which data symbols have been allocated, so that the subcarriers respectively correspond to a plurality of transmission antennas, according to the fed-back information. Thus, a specific substream can be transmitted via a transmission antenna having the greatest channel gain. Consequently, the probability of properly recovering the specific substream is greatly increased.

A wireless transmitting method includes calculating a beamforming channel matrix which is a channel matrix generated at a time when a transmitting apparatus applies a beamforming matrix to a data signal and transmits the data signal to receiving apparatuses, selecting a parameter to be used while transmitting the data signal based on the beamforming channel matrix and noise information fed back from the receiving apparatuses, and transmitting the data signal by using the selected parameter.

The present invention is provided with a wireless transceiver and wireless transmitting/receiving method and program thereof capable of improving the robustness against Doppler frequency by containing transmit diversity signals in one spreading region.
