A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a third party subscription management of end device profiles service is provided. The service may include obtaining a profile for a card of an end device from a third party device in which the profile includes a temporary element. For example, the temporary element may be a temporary keyset or a temporary USIM. During initial connectivity and activation with a core network, the card logic may obtain and update the profile with a permanent element for registration and activation procedures with the core network. In this way, security exposure with a third party device relating to a profile may be eliminated or minimized.

Method and system for third party subscription management of end device profiles

A user equipment (UE), comprising at least one processor may be configured to transmit a first attach request to a first wireless network based on a first universal subscriber identity module (USIM). The UE may receive a rejection from the first wireless network and may switch from the first USIM to a second USIM based on the rejection. The UE may transmit a second attach request to the first wireless network based on the second USIM.

Systems and methods for supporting multiple universal subscriber identity modules

A user equipment (UE) may store a default user equipment route selection policy (URSP) and may receive, from a fourth-generation (4G) core network, a default protocol configuration option (PCO) value for a default network slice of the 4G core network. The UE may utilize the default network slice based on the default URSP and the default PCO value and may receive a request to update the default URSP with a new URSP associated with a new network slice of the 4G core network. The UE may update the default URSP with the new URSP to generate an updated URSP and may receive, from the 4G core network, a new PCO value for the new network slice of the 4G core network. The UE may utilize the default network slice and the new network slice based on the updated URSP, the default PCO value, and the new PCO value.

Systems and methods for updating a policy of a user equipment in fourth-generation network coverage

A device includes a processor that may be configured to obtain a Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) identifier (ID) from a signal broadcast by a network and determine whether the obtained PLMN ID is an original preferred PLMN ID of the device. When the processor determines that the obtained PLMN ID is the original preferred PLMN ID, the processor may attempt to attach to the network over a wireless link. When the attempt to attach to the network fails, the processor may rewrite, in a list of PLMN IDs, a non-preferred PLMN ID as a new preferred PLMN ID.

System and method for reducing network collision

A device described herein may receive an indication that the device is not authorized to access a first type of core network (e.g., a Fifth Generation ('5G') Core (“5GC”)), and may detect that a first core network, of the first type of core network, is available for communication. The device may detect that a second core network, of a second type of core network (e.g., an Evolved Packet Core (“EPC”)), is available for communication. Based on the indication that the device is not authorized to access the first type of core network, the device may request establishment of a communication session with the second core network (e.g., in lieu of requesting access the first core network).

Systems and methods for 5G core network access control

A service provider may receive a user device that includes an embedded subscriber identity module (eSIM) associated with an equipment identifier (eID) with a previously provisioned service. The previously provisioned service may be provided by an eSIM profile (identified by an Integrated Circuit Card Identifier or ICCID) and the eSIM may contain more than one ICCID. The service provider may re-provision one of the existing ICCIDs to provide service based on the eID and historical data. The device and the carrier provisioning system may determine whether one of the profiles (ICCIDs) installed in the eSIM matches an already known eSIM profile (ICCD) and re-provision the eSIM profile (ICCD) for new wireless service. The service provider may then activate the user device for communication via the new wireless service in response to re-provisioning of the applicable eSIM profile (ICCID).

Methods and systems for determining eSIM profile presence for reactivation

A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a certificate authority, a first onboarding identifier associated with a private key stored on the UE. The UE may transmit, to a wireless network, an attach request based on the first onboarding identifier. The UE may receive, from the wireless network, a signaling message that includes a second onboarding identifier, wherein the signaling message may be encrypted with a public key paired with the private key stored on the UE. The UE may decrypt the signaling message using the private key stored on the UE to obtain the second onboarding identifier. The UE may obtain a permanent identifier from a Remote SIM Provisioning platform based on the UE completing an authentication procedure using an authentication response obtained from the decrypted signaling message. The UE may then connect to the wireless network using the permanent identifier.

Secure onboarding of a device having an embedded universal integrated circuit card without a preloaded provisioning profile

A pre-provisioned mobile device and a system are provided that enables selection of proprietary feature services and proprietary applications specific to one cellular carrier from among two or more cellular carriers that have pre-provisioned the mobile device with carrier-specific proprietary feature services and proprietary applications. In response to insertion of a carrier-specific universal integrated circuit card, pre-provisioned proprietary feature services and proprietary applications specific to the carrier associated with the carrier-specific universal integrated circuit card are enabled for execution on the mobile device from a memory of the mobile device. Other examples allow for customized firmware and software builds.

Enabling pre-provisioned proprietary carrier-specific feature services and applications for execution on a mobile device

Automobile emergency signaling apparatus in the nature of a kit includes an envelope having a transparent front panel. A HELP sign is mounted to an upper portion of the front panel apprising approaching motorists of an emergency situation and a plurality of trouble signs which are sized to fit in the envelope below the HELP sign indicate the specific nature of the disabled motorist's problem. To use the kit, the disabled motorist positions the applicable trouble sign in the envelope so that it faces the front panel of the envelope below the HELP sign thereon. The kit is then mounted to the automobile or other support using a magnetic strip attached to the rear panel of the envelope so that the HELP and operative trouble signs face approaching motorists. The combination of the two different signs together describe the disabled driver's particular problem and instruct the approaching motorists of the best way to alleviate the problem.
