Embodiments are directed to issuing tokens for identifiers associated with a resource provider account specific to the resource provider issuing the account. A resource provider processor system interfaces with a resource provider computer to validate account eligibility upon receiving a token request message. If the account is eligible for token generation, the resource provider processor system generates a universal identifier corresponding to the identifier associated with the resource provider account and returns the universal identifier to the token requestor. The token requestor may send a token request message to a token issuer for obtaining a token using the universal identifier. Accordingly, the universal account identifier can be used to provision a token into a digital wallet. Transactions using the token may be processed with the resource provider processor system acting as an account issuer.

The ELECTRONIC COUPON ISSUANCE AND REDEMPTION APPARATUSES, METHODS AND SYSTEMS ('ECIR') transforms user coupon purchase and redemption request inputs via ECIR components into coupon issuance, transaction, and analytics outputs. In some embodiments, the ECIR may receive an inventory request from a coupon program manager, including at least a virtual coupon issue criteria. The ECIR may generate one or more account identifiers, and transmit the account identifiers to the coupon program manager. The ECIR may receive, from the coupon program manager, an issue request along with the purchase information, which may include one or more purchase identifiers corresponding to one or more buyers. The ECIR may determine when the received purchase information satisfies the virtual coupon issue criteria. when it satisfies the criteria, the ECIR may issue one or more virtual coupons having the one or more account identifiers, and transmit the issued virtual cards to the coupon program manager.

A payment device has identifiers, read in a magnetic strip or visual indicia by a healthcare provider, for an influenza vaccine and an account issued by an issuer to a party (e.g.; a governmental entity) upon which a transaction can be conducted that is limited to administering the influenza vaccine. The healthcare provider sends an authorization request for the transaction for delivery through its acquirer and a transaction handler to the issuer. The issuer uses the identifiers to authorize the healthcare provider to administer the influenza vaccine and to conduct the transaction, and sends an authorization response to the authorization request back through the transaction handler and the acquirer. After the receiving of the authorization response, the healthcare provider administers the influenza vaccine and conducts the transaction on the account for the sale of the service of the administering of the influenza vaccine.

Systems and methods for administering merchant funded third-party administered rewards programs are provided. The system receives information about a transaction made using a payment device and determines whether the payment device is enrolled in the rewards program. If the payment device is enrolled in the rewards program, the system determines if the transaction qualifies for a reward. If the transaction qualifies for the reward, the system determines a rewards value for the transaction. Thereafter, the system determines a prepaid payment token associated with the payment device and instructs an issuer of the prepaid payment token to load the rewards value onto the prepaid payment token.

Systems, methods, and apparatuses for providing a portable consumer device (e.g., a plastic card) that includes a coupon code and an account number (e.g., embedded on a magnetic stripe or a chip) where the portable consumer device is configured to apply a coupon to goods and services purchased at a merchant (e.g., store). Upon identifying the goods and services under a particular category specified by the coupon code (e.g., healthy food category), a user may pay for a predetermined portion (e.g., 50%) of the goods and services under the particular category using the portable consumer device. The user may pay for the remaining portion using a benefits card (e.g., state benefits card). As such, by allowing the user to pay for the predetermined portion using the portable consumer device, the user has incentive to purchase goods and services that fall under the particular category.

Payment processing for qualified transaction items

A transaction handler receives, for forwarding to a sponsor account's issuer, a coupon authorization request message from a merchant's acquirer that identifies the sponsor account and a coupon for an item being purchased by a consumer in a transaction with the merchant. The issuer determines eligibility of the coupon for use by the consumer, and sends an authorization response message to the merchant via its acquirer and the transaction handler for the application of a corresponding discount for the item when the coupon is eligible. One or more coupon eligibilities for the purchase of the item by the consumer from the merchant can be derived from comparisons of the transaction to predetermined times, geographies, jurisdictions, sets of merchants, and/or the number of times that coupons have been used in other transactions. The transaction handler can further process the transaction for authorization the consumer's account to pay of the transaction.
