A foot wrap () has a generally non-stretchable, flexible binding (), a generally stretchable panel () coupled to the binding, an expandable, rotatable bladder (), and a support pad () coupled to the binding opposite the bladder (). The binding has a central portion () straddled by a first wing (), a second wing (), and an elastic heel band (). The bladder measures approximately 3 inches by 3 inches and is designed to increase in height approximately 1&#xbd; to 1&#xbe; inches with its inflation.

A safety slipper () includes a stretchable fabric material upper portion () and a porous anti-skid lower portion. The upper portion has a foot opening () and a profile heel pocket (). The lower portion () is made from a scrim cloth type material having a knit of polyester threads () coated with a soft poly-vinyl chloride outer layer (). The lower portion provides for a cris-crossing pattern or matrix of interconnected nodes () with spaces () therebetween.

Braider carriers for multiple yarn packages include separate supports for separate packages and separate guides for the yarns from each package. Insulating tubular gaskets having low porosity and comprised of an insulating yarn and wire are manufactured using the carriers. A circular braider used in the manufacture of the gaskets is loaded with a group of carriers each carrying a single yarn package of insulating yarn. The multiple package carriers, each of which is selectively positioned between carriers of the first group, supply insulating yarn and wire.
