The present invention provides a method comprising rotational molding a powdered polyolefin elastomer composition to form a skin, the composition formed by spray drying an aqueous polyolefin dispersion composition which is itself formed by melt blending a polyolefin composition comprising an olefin block copolymer, a dispersing agent, and water, wherein said aqueous dispersion preferably has a pH less than 12.

Embodiments relate to a high melt flow thermoplastic polyolefin composition and of a method of preparing a high melt flow thermoplastic polyolefin composition, in which the composition includes from 5 wt % to 45 wt % of a modifier including a blend of from 5 wt % to 40 wt % of a block composite and from 60 wt % to 95 wt % of a polyolefin copolymer, based on a total weight of the modifier, and from 30 wt % to 95 wt % of a polypropylene polymer base that has a melt flow rate of at least 40 g/10 min. The high melt flow thermoplastic polyolefin composition has a blended melt flow rate of at least 25 g/10 min and an MFR ratio is less than 2.0, the MFR ratio being a ratio of the melt flow rate of the polypropylene polymer base to the blended melt flow rate of the high melt flow thermoplastic polyolefin composition.

The present invention relates to a thermoplastic polyolefin elastomer composition in powder form comprising an olefin block copolymer and optionally a high density polyethylene (HDPE), said composition having a Shore A hardness greater than 75, a Tg less than &#x2212;45&#xb0; C., a distinct melting peak greater than 95&#xb0; C., a zero shear viscosity equal to or less than 1,200 Pa-s and a particle size distribution wherein 85 percent of the particles fall between 150 microns to 420 microns and no particles are greater than 500 microns. Said composition demonstrates good pulverizing and flow characteristics at a temperature of 5&#xb0; C. or less than the distinct melting peak of the olefin block copolymer. In another aspect, this invention relates to a process for preparing said thermoplastic polyolefin elastomer powder and applications for using said powder. In a further aspect, this invention relates to slush molding or rotational molding said thermoplastic polyolefin elastomer composition into skins, for example skins for automotive interior applications, sporting good applications, housing and building applications, packaging materials, covering materials, toys, hollow parts, and the like.

The present invention is directed to an elastomer composition having at least two phases, one phase comprising a very low density polyethylene 'VLDPE' component and another phase comprising a propylene polymer component wherein the propylene polymer component comprises at least one branched polypropylene and the VLDPE phase is continuous. Preferably, the VLDPE component has a melt tan delta between about 0.7 and 8 as measured by parallel plate rheometer at 0.1 radians per second, 180&#xb0; C., and 10 percent strain; and the ratio of the melt tan delta of the VLDPE to the melt tan delta of the propylene component is from 0.5 to 4. The invention also provides a method of making such compositions, and to low gloss articles prepared from the same.
