A hair-shaping device comprising a winding core, a rotatably drivable entraining element with an axis of rotation which corresponds to the longitudinal axis of the winding core, the entraining element designed to grasp a strand of hair and to wind the strand of hair around the winding core, and a housing that encloses the winding core, wherein the radial distance of the inside of the housing from the lateral surface of the winding core in the region of a winding space is sufficiently large such that winding the strand of hair onto the winding core is not hindered. The housing comprises a slot extending in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the winding core. The entraining element is arranged inside the winding space. The slot is designed for inserting a segment of hair to be shaped into the winding space and extends into the housing part facing the hair pull-in side and bounding the winding space in this direction, such that a strand of hair inserted into the insertion slot is caught by the entraining element rotating inside the winding space. The housing has a warm air flow inlet for supplying heat to a strand of hair located in the winding space between the winding core and the housing.

Hair shaping device

A hair styling device comprising two hinged arms able to move relative to each other for the receiving and shaping of a strand of hair. Each arm carries a shaping plate on its side facing the other arm. These shaping surfaces making contact with the hair strand being styled. The hair being styled is pulled past these shaping surfaces. One of the two arms has a hair support on its side carrying the shaping plate. The hair support is arranged at a spacing from the shaping surface of the other arm, so that the other arm can be introduced into an arm support between the hair support and the shaping surface of the shaping plate of the arm carrying the hair support. The shaping plates of the two arms which cooperate with each other for the hair styling can move relative to each other in the manner of scissors.

Hair styling device

A method of forming curls/waves of hair with a styling device having shaping surfaces of shaping plates and a device designed to perform said method are disclosed. The hair is heated until the sulfur bonds contained in the keratin chains are extensively broken. The heated hair is pulled past several spaced-apart shaping bodies, other while in contact with them. Upon contacting the first shaping body the hair has a temperature where the sulfur bonds are extensively broken, then, before leaving the last shaping body has cooled to where the sulfur bonds have largely rejoined. The device comprises two hinged arms moving against each other, each having a shaping plate on its facing surfaces. The styling arm carries on its outer side several shaping bodies arranged at a distance from each other, from the outer termination of the housing and, extending in the longitudinal direction.
