Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a mapping indication that indicates a mapping between a plurality of network energy saving modes and a plurality of priority rules for sidelink synchronization. The UE may receive a network energy saving mode indication that indicates scheduling for one or more network energy saving modes of the plurality of network energy saving modes. The UE may perform sidelink synchronization in accordance with a priority rule of the plurality of priority rules for sidelink synchronization based at least in part on the scheduling for the one or more network energy saving modes and the mapping between the plurality of network energy saving modes and the plurality of priority rules for sidelink synchronization. An example method for distance-dependent positioning of a user device (UE) performed by a location server, the method comprising: sending, to a transmission/reception point (TRP), a first configuration for distance-dependent position reference signal (PRS) resource sets, the distance-dependent PRS resource sets comprising at least: a first PRS resource set for positioning the UE when an estimated distance between the UE and the TRP is within a first range interval. The method also comprises determining the estimated distance between the UE and the TRP, sending, to the UE, a second configuration for determining PRS measurements based on at least one PRS resource set of the distance-dependent PRS resource sets at the TRP, the at least one PRS resource set corresponding to the estimated distance between the UE and the TRP, and receiving, from the UE, the PRS measurements; and determining the position of the UE based on the PRS measurements.

A first user equipment (UE) may receive a control message that includes an indication to mute communications between the first UE and a second UE. The indication may be applicable to at least one communication link between the first UE and the second UE. The indication may include an identifier of the first UE, an identifier of the second UE, or an identifier of the at least one communication link. The first UE may receive the indication based on a power status of the first UE, a power status of the second UE, a reliability metric associated with the at least one communication link, or an interference metric associated with a network entity. Accordingly, the first UE may determine that the at least one communication link is muted for a time duration based on the indication.

Each VA in the set of VAs is associated with a corresponding reflecting surface in a UE communication environment. The apparatus is configured to estimate at least one AoA associated with the set of multipath signals based on at least one of a set of ToF values associated with the set of multipath signals, a UE location, or a VA location. The apparatus is configured to provide, to a network entity, an indication of multipath information associated with the set of multipath signals for the set of VAs. The multipath information includes the at least one AoA associated with at least one multipath signal in the set of multipath signals.

In an aspect, a position estimation entity, obtains first timing information that is associated with a first time-of-arrival (TOA) measurement of a first reference signal for positioning (RS-P) as communicated between a target user equipment (UE) and a base station with a first time basis, obtains second timing information that is associated with a second TOA measurement of a second RS-P as communicated between the target UE and a reference UE associated with a known location and having a second time basis that is different than the first time basis, determines a bias between the first time basis and the second time basis, and determines a position estimate of the target UE via a time differential of arrival (TDOA) positioning technique based at least in part upon the first timing information, the second timing information, and the bias.

Methods performed by a network node includes obtaining a plurality of radio frequency fingerprint positioning (RFFP) measurements associated with known positioning parameters associated with a known location of a user equipment (UE) are described. Each RFFP measurement of the plurality of RFFP measurements is further associated with a transmission point configuration of a plurality of transmission point configurations; and training a positioning model to provide an estimate of one or more positioning parameters associated with a location of the UE. Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network node, an uplink configured grant or semi-persistent scheduling (UL-CG/SPS) configuration. The UE may select, among multiple modulation and coding scheme (MCS) values associated with the UL-CG/SPS configuration, an MCS value to use in a current transmission occasion associated with the UL-CG/SPS configuration based at least in part on an amount of data stored in an uplink buffer. Aspects presented herein may enable an LMF to configure AI/ML-based techniques/measurements for a set of base stations/TRPs to improve the performance of UL-based positioning. In one aspect, a network entity transmits a configuration to at least one network node to configure the at least one network node to perform an UL-based positioning measurement with at least one ML model, where each of the at least one ML model is associated with a corresponding ML model ID in which the at least one network node uses for the UL-based positioning measurement, where the UL-based positioning measurement is for a set of SRSs from a UE. The network entity receives the UL-based positioning measurement for the set of SRSs from the at least one network node. The network entity estimates a position of the UE based on the UL-based positioning measurement for the set of SRSs.

ML-based measurements for uplink positioning

Positioning of one or more user equipments (UEs) is performed using broadcast common sounding reference signals (SRS) resources for positioning. The common SRS that is broadcast by a UE is received and measured by one or more base stations and one or more other UEs. The other UEs may have known positions and may server as anchor nodes for positioning. The other UEs may have known positions and may serve as a positioning (anchor) node or may have unknown positions and may be jointly positioned with the target UE. During joint positioning, each of the other UEs may similarly broadcast a common set of SRS that is received and measured by the base stations and other UEs for positioning. An angular measurement of the SRS broadcast by one or more UEs may be measured and used to resolve minor symmetry in positioning solutions.

Methods and apparatus for combined signaling for sidelink assisted positioning

In an aspect, a method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) includes determining that a positioning model error instance has occurred during a positioning occasion based on 1) a position uncertainty associated with a first position estimate satisfying positioning uncertainty error criteria, wherein the first position estimate is obtained during the positioning occasion by applying a first positioning model to radio frequency fingerprint (RFFP) measurements, 2) a positioning mismatch between the first position estimate of the UE and a second position estimate of the UE satisfying position mismatch error criteria, wherein the second position estimate of the UE is obtained during the positioning occasion by performing a positioning technique that does not use the first positioning model, or 3) any combination thereof; and determining that the first positioning model has failed based on a number of positioning model error instances satisfying positioning model failure criteria.
