Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, via a first bandwidth part, a first downlink control information message activating a semi-persistent resource for the first bandwidth part. The UE may switching to a second bandwidth part from the first bandwidth part for a temporary duration. the UE may delay, based on switching to the second bandwidth part, communications via the semi-persistent resource on the first bandwidth part for the temporary duration without receiving a second downlink control information message via the first bandwidth part that deactivates or releases the semi-persistent resource.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) linkage indication that is based at least in part on a slot configuration. The UE may receive a first PDCCH in a first PDCCH occasion and a second PDCCH that is a repetition of the first PDCCH in a second PDCCH occasion, the second PDCCH occasion comprising an occurrence of one or more air interface resources configured with the slot configuration. A method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a network node, a first message indicating, for each network power mode of a group of network power modes, a group of random-access channel (RACH) process parameters. The method also includes receiving, from the network node, a second message indicating a current network power mode, of the group of network power modes, enabled at the network node. The method further includes receiving, from the network node, a third message including a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) order that initiates a RACH process in accordance with the respective group of RACH process parameters associated with the current network power mode. The method still further includes transmitting, to the network node based on receiving the PDCCH order, a RACH preamble associated with the RACH process.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for rate-splitting multiple access (RSMA) for sidelink communication. An example method include determining a set of resources, in a resource pool of one or more resource pools, to use for transmitting information to a group of receiver UEs (RX UEs), transmitting to the group of RX UEs an indication that the TX UE will transmit the information to the group of RX UEs using rate splitting multiple access (RSMA), and transmitting the information to the group of RX UEs in the set of resources using RSMA. Transmitting the information to the group using RSMA may include transmitting a common message including combined control information to the group of RX UEs using a first precoder and transmitting individual private data messages to each RX UE in the group of RX UEs using separate respective precoders different from the first precoder.

Rate splitting multiple access for sidelink communication

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the proposed techniques provide for a semi-persistent design for communicating rate-split messages from a network entity to multiple user equipments (UEs). The network entity may transmit control information to one or more UEs indicating encoding information for receipt of one or more downlink messages to be communicated during respective downlink occasions, which may be configured for rate-split communications. Thus, a first UE may be made aware of one or more semi-persistent downlink occasions via which respective downlink messages (e.g., respective to each downlink occasion) are to be encoded into a common portion and a private portion. In some cases, the common portion may be common with other downlink messages (e.g., intended for other UEs) and the private portion may be specific to the first UE. The first UE may then decode the rate-split downlink messages according to the encoding information.

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support fifth generation (5G) new radio (NR) radio frequency (RF) sensing with polarization configuration. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes receiving at a network node participating in 5G NR RF sensing a first polarization indicator and a second polarization indicator from a network entity. The first polarization indicator is associated with transmission of a first reference sensing signal and the second polarization indicator is associated with reception of a second reference sensing signal. The network node performs sensing measurements using the first polarization indicator and the second polarization indicator and transmits a sensing measurement report including the sensing measurements associated with the second reference sensing signal to the network entity. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

A sensing method includes: implementing, at a UE, a sensitivity time control profile to change a gain applied over time to a sensing signal received by the UE; and measuring the sensing signal to obtain a sensing signal measurement; wherein the method comprises at least one of: obtaining the sensitivity time control profile based on a sensitivity time control message received by the UE from a network entity; or transmitting a sensing report from the UE to the network entity, the sensing report indicating a measurement of the sensing signal and that sensitivity time control was implemented to obtain the sensing signal measurement.

Apparatuses and methods for single DCI scheduling multi-carrier for multi-slot PXSCHS and multi-SPS/CG PDSCH are described. An apparatus is configured to receive a configuration via RRC signaling, a MAC-CE, or DCI. The configuration is associated with a schedule of a set of CCs including at least two CCs. Each CC of the at least two CCs includes at least two PDSCHs or PUSCHs. The apparatus is also configured to communicate, via the set of CCs, with a network node based on the schedule. Another apparatus is configured to transmit a configuration via RRC signaling, a MAC-CE, or DCI. The configuration is associated with a schedule of a set of CCs including at least two CCs. Each CC of the at least two CCs includes at least two PDSCHs or PUSCHs. The other apparatus is also configured to communicate, via the set of CCs, with a UE based on the schedule.

Single DCI scheduling multi-carrier for multi-slot PXSCHS and multi-SPS/CG PDSCH

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for multiple network energy modes at a network entity, where different network energy modes are associated with different energy consumption. A network entity may provide, and a user equipment (UE) may receive, configuration information for a set of synchronization signal block (SSB) transmissions, where different subsets of SSBs use different network energy modes. A UE may measure one or more parameters for at least a first SSB, and initiate a beam failure recovery (BFR) procedure based at least in part on the network energy mode associated with the first SSB and a threshold value associated with the one or more parameters. In some aspects, different SSBs associated with different network energy modes may use different parameter thresholds for initiating the BFR procedure.

Techniques for beam failure detection based on network energy modes in wireless communications

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Some wireless communications systems may support frequency hopping across subbands within a configured bandwidth part (BWP). A first network node may transmit a first control message to a second network node to indicate a set of one or more frequency hopping patterns for switching between two or more subbands within the BWP configured for the second network node. The first network node may, in some aspects, transmit a second control message that is indicative of a designated frequency hopping pattern from among the set of one or more frequency hopping patterns indicated via the first control message. The first and second network nodes may communication via a first subband and a second subband of the two or more subbands in accordance with the default or designated frequency hopping pattern.
