An animal control halter comprising flexible strapping to girdle the bridge of the animals nose connected to an underchin strap to form a loop around the animal's nose. A bridge strap can be positoned rearwardly of the nose strap. By connecting a lead to the nose strap or chin strap the animal can be respectively trained or tethered.

Controlling halter for animals

A toy money box resembling a slot machine has one money slot where the money enters a store and is returned if the slot machine when operated gives a jackpot. The money box has a second slot where money passes to a store separate from the slot machine and acts as a conventional money box. A mechanism for controlling the slot machine is provided which is simpler than previous mechanisms. In one aspect, the chance wheels are rotated by a gear drive which rotates one chance wheel through a one-way clutch and similar one-way clutches between adjacent pairs of chance wheels impart the rotation sequentially to all of the wheels. A clutch mechanism between the operating handle and the gear drive can comprise a pawl rotatably engaged within a cylindrical sleeve, the end of the pawl engaging a opening in the sleeve for transmitting rotary motion from the pawl to the sleeve and a cam being provided to disengage the end of the pawl when a particular extent of rotation has been reached. Also, single means are provided both to stop the chance wheels at an arbitrary position and to detect a winning orientation and so release money as a jackpot. To delay the stopping of the wheels, the sensor may be linked to a damper mechanism.

Toys

A wheel for a skating apparatus is operably carried on a truck so as to selectively rotate in a given direction or in both directions. A bearing assembly rotatably mounts the wheel on one end of an axle outwardly projecting from a skate truck. The bearing assembly includes a pair of races between which bearings are rollably disposed. An adjustable bearing assembly is operably coupled between the opposing surfaces of the truck and the inside of the wheel. Bearings in this latter assembly are rollable in a circular cage having the bearing surfaces engagable with a flat raceway carried on the truck wherein the wheel rotates in a first direction when the bearing engages with a circular portion of an eccentric and ceases rotation when the bearing engages with a flattened ramp portion of the eccentric. In an alternate embodiment the first mentioned bearing assembly includes the eccentric raceway on one side of the cage holding the bearings and the flat surface race on the opposite side.

Wheel improvement for roller skates

A lock cylinder incorporating a front retainer for a sidebar and a body counterbore to receive same, a core shell having a torquing engagement extension and an indexing protrusion to properly index the insertion and removal of the core, a torquing tumbler for applying rotational torque to the core, an improved centering spring, an inter-connection of a sidebar and a body engaging link of a removable core differential mechanism, a method of yieldingly biasing the engaging links outwardly from the core assembly, and improved combinating capabilities by arrangements of gatings in the rotary disc-tumblers for variable incrementations and the arrangement of tumblers and spacers of various thicknesses to achieve a variable spacings of the bittings.

Rotary disc-tumbler lock cylinder

A key construction for use with a rotary disc tumbler lock wherein the key bits consist of a plurality of single planes formed across the transverse axis of the key shank and spaced parallel thereto with each plane capable of aligning its associated tumbler into an open gate position. A key construction for use with a rotary disc tumbler lock wherein longitudinal restricting wards in a plurality of cross-sectional profiles are formable along the key shank and a warded tumbler with a similarly shaped key entry opening, which warded tumbler is used in a lock associated with the warded key thereby providing a plurality of correspondingly shaped warded key entry openings in the lock and key profile configurations which permits locks and keys to be grouped into different series with a key from one group of locks being restricted from entering the locks of another group even though the bitting codes are the same.

Key construction

A key construction for use with a rotary disc-tumbler lock wherein longitudinal restricting wards in a plurality of cross-sectional profiles are formable along the key shank and a warding tumbler with a similarly shaped key entry opening, which warding tumbler is used in a lock associated with the warded key thereby providing a plurality of correspondingly shaped warding key entry openings in the lock and key profile configurations which permits locks and keys to be grouped into different series with a key from one group of locks being restricted from entering the locks of another group even though the bitting codes are the same.

Key and tumbler construction

A key construction for use with a rotary disc-tumbler lock wherein the key has a shank portion and a bow or other rotating means on one end thereof. The key shank is formed with a vee-groove longitudinally thereof which vee-groove permits insertion and retraction of the key shank into the lock without disturbing the position of the tumblers in the lock. Further, the shank of the key being formable with warding grooves extending along the shank.
