A packaging assembly that includes a carton and an inner member. The carton includes a first flap located within an inner portion thereof. The inner member is configured to be received in the inner portion of the carton. The inner member has an extension that is configured to engage the first flap to restrict the inner member from being separated from the carton. The free end of the first flap includes a cutout.

Packaging assembly

A unit dose paperboard package includes an outer paperboard sleeve and an inner paperboard slide card lockably retained within the outer sleeve. The outer sleeve includes a plurality of panels operatively connected to each other such that a top panel of the plurality of panels includes an inner slide card retaining aperture and an inner slide card releasing button defined thereon. The inner slide card includes an inner slide card retaining and releasing panel. The slide card release button includes a longitudinally extending tab defined by a cut in the sleeve, with a root of the tab between ends of the cut, and with a moveable tab edge opposite the root of the tab. The card retaining aperture extends longitudinally past the moveable tab edge in a first direction, but does not extend longitudinally past the root of the tab in a second direction opposite the first direction.

Disclosed are package assemblies and methods of making the same, wherein the assemblies can include, among other elements, an outer carton defining an interior product storage compartment; an inner product support card slidably received within the product storage compartment; the inner support card having a main body portion and one or more flaps; and one or more primary product packages, each being secured to one of the one or more flaps.

Child-resistant package assembly

A package () includes an outer sleeve () and a drawer () that is slidably receivable in the outer sleeve (). The package further includes a two-part locking mechanism for releasably locking the drawer within the outer sleeve. The first part is provided by the outer sleeve, and the second part by the drawer as a locking flap () hingedly connected to a rear end of a top panel () of the drawer (). The locking flap is folded outwardly of the drawer toward a forward end of the top panel to be releasably engaged with the first part of the locking mechanism.

Lockable packaging

A package includes an outer sleeve () and a lockable receptacle (). The package has a two-part locking mechanism for locking the lockable receptacle within the outer sleeve. The package also has a release mechanism including a moveable tab () that may be depressed to cause the two-part locking mechanism to be unlocked as well as to case the lockable receptacle to be at least partially withdrawn from the outer sleeve. The moveable tab is oriented at a non-normal angle relative to a lateral axis (x) of the outer sleeve. The non-normal angle is defined as a first angle (&#x3b1;) between the lateral axis and a notional axis (C) which runs centrally of the moveable tab through the anchored portion and to a medial point (M) of the front edge.

A package made from sheet material has a sealable coating on a first surface. The package has a plurality of panels, folded so that at least two side panels are able to be closed in an overlapping arrangement so that the two side panels are sealed together with the first surface and sealable coating in facing relationship.

An outer sleeve includes first and second opposed side panels edges, hinge panels interconnecting the first and second side panels such that at least one chamber is defined between the first and second side panels, at least one of the hinge panels being hingedly connected to at least one of the first and second side panels along one of the opposed side edges of the at least one side panel, and at least one inner panel positioned at least in part inside the at least one chamber. The at least one inner panel includes a slide card locking mechanism for releasably locking at least one slide card in a locked position within the at least one chamber. The at least one side panel includes a release button positioned proximate the slide card locking mechanism of the at least one inner panel. The at least one inner panel is hingedly connected to one of the end edges of the at least one panel.

Outer sleeve and blank therefor

A blister package including an outer sleeve and a blister receptacle, the blister package having retention panel supporting mechanisms proximate an end of the blister receptacle to support the blister package in the outer sleeve when the blister package is almost completely withdrawn from the outer sleeve and may include one or more locking mechanisms to prevent unwanted opening of the blister package or disengagement of the blister package from the outer sleeve.

Blister packaging

A package includes an outer container and an inner receptacle. The outer container forming a cavity for the inner receptacle having an open or openable end through which the inner receptacle can be inserted. The package includes a two-part locking mechanism for locking the inner receptacle within the cavity of the outer container. The outer container includes a first part of the two-part locking mechanism and the inner receptacle includes a second part of the two-part locking mechanism. The outer container includes at least one demarcated pressing zone, wherein the at least one demarcated pressing zone is configured and/or stylised and/or shaped and/or arranged to encourage a user to apply a force directed inwardly of the outer container toward the cavity for deactivating the locking mechanism to thereby release the inner receptacle for its withdrawal at least partially from the outer container.

Packaging

A blank () for forming a secondary package without a heat-seal process is disclosed. The secondary package can be an inner slide card configured to receive one or more blister packs (). A pocket opening () can be formed in one panel () of the blank (). Receiving portions () can be formed on one or more panels. A blister pack () can be inserted into the secondary package through the pocket opening (). The receiving portions () can mechanically interact with edges () of a blister pack () to retain the blister pack () in a desired position. The exit regions of an inserted blister pack () can be aligned with gates () formed in a panel () of the secondary package. When the blister pack () is in the proper orientation relative to the secondary package, the blister pack () can be locked in place mechanically, glued in place, or both.

A packagecomprises a top paneland a bottom panel, which are partially or totally laminated with tear resistance material for enhancing the structural integrity of the package. Severance lines form at least one front paneland at least one back panel. The front panelincludes a tear notchand at least one aperture. The back panelincludes a severance line. In one embodiment the panelsare folded and attached, to form at least one trap door, and encapsulating at least one blisterholding an item. The trap dooris releasably attached within the top paneland bottom panel. To gain access to a blister, a trap dooris at least partially detached along the severance lines, and pushed out to access the tear notch. A portion of the trap dooris torn, at tear notchand along the severance line, to access the item.

A packaging substrate is formed that has at least the following elements. A main panel with at least one gate formed on the main panel to assist with removing contents from a package cell. At least one cell flap secured to the main panel. The cell flap has at least one aperture dimensioned and aligned to fit over a package cell. At least one tab flap secured to the main panel on an opposite end from the cell flap. The tab flap further comprises at least one peel away tab and at least one glue tab. The peel away tab is aligned and dimensioned so that when properly folded it will substantially overlap the gate or gates of the main panel.

A wrap-around neck through the top carrier with a handle that can retracted into the interior of the carrier for stacking one carrier on top of another and which can be easily extended for carrying. The retractabilty and extension of the handle is facilitated by having a flexing panel attached to the handle panel by a fold line which in turn is attached to the top panel by fold line with a fold line between the handle panel and the flexing panel being approximately midway between the apertures in the top panel and the hand aperture in the handle panel. There also a fold line adjacent the apertures for the bottles.

Basket handle

The present invention relates to a basket carrier that provides full protection for the bottles being carried, and which can be glued on a straight-line gluer. The provision of nicks (i.e., temporary bridges) between the handle panels and the side walls serves to keep the handle panels in proper alignment during the folding and gluing operation on the gluer. These nicks are easily broken when the carrier is opened to receive bottles in the bottling plant. The present invention also utilizes nicks between the partition panel and the handle ply to hold them in contact but yet prevent bunching of paperboard during the folding and gluing process.
