An open roof construction for a vehicle having an opening in the roof plate comprises a closing element which closes said roof opening in its closed position and which can be moved rearwards from said closed position to an open position. An arrangement for influencing the air flow above the roof opening when said closing element is at least partially open is provided near the front edge of the roof opening. Said arrangement comprises means provided before the roof opening for generating an accelerated air flow over said roof opening. Said means may consist of a flow channel which is bounded on the upper side by an adjustable flap.

Open roof construction for a vehicle

An open roof construction for a vehicle having a roof opening in its fixed roof comprises a closing element for selectively closing or at least partially opening said roof opening by moving the closing element in rearward direction. A drive unit, electronic control means and a mechanism disposed between said drive unit are intended for moving the closing element. Wind deflection means disposed near an edge of the roof opening deflects the air flow when the vehicle is driving. Driving means are connected to the wind deflection means via a transmission. The control means includes operating means, or it can be connected to measuring means for measuring condition parameters, and it is arranged for adjusting the wind deflection means with the aid of the driving means on the basis of the condition parameters.

An open roof construction for a vehicle having an opening in its fixed roof comprises a stationary part to be secured to the roof of the vehicle and a movable closing element, which is movably supported by said stationary part and which can be adjusted by a drive unit. The closing element can move between a closed position, and an open, rearward position, at least partially above the fixed roof, in which position the roof opening is at least partially cleared. The stationary part is fitted with at least a first longitudinal guide extending along the roof opening, and with a second longitudinal guide on the fixed rood, rearward of the roof opening. The closing element is supported near its front side by a slideshoe which is slidably supported in said first longitudinal guide, and rearward thereof it is supported by a guide element which is capable of sliding movement in said longitudinal guide. The second longitudinal guide comprises a front, short, substantially vertical part and an upwardly and rearwardly extending part which joins said part upwardly thereof. The closing element comprises a locking mechanism on its rear side, which is driven by said drive unit, which locking mechanism temporarily engages the closing element near the closed position, and which effects the movement of the closing element when the guide element of the closing element is present in said at least approximately vertical part of said second longitudinal guide.

The invention relates to a mechanism for moving a panel with respect to a roof of a vehicle between a first position, in which said panel closes an opening provided in the roof of the vehicle, and a second position, in which said panel releases the opening provided in the roof of the vehicle at least for the greater part. The panel is near its sides supported by supports, which are first pivoted obliquely upwards by means of a setting mechanism so as to move the panel from the first position to the second position, and which are then moved to a position above the roof portion located beside the opening. A support is coupled, via a gear transmission which is movable by means of the setting mechanism, to a rack which is capable of movement with respect to the support.

Mechanism for moving a panel with respect to a roof of a vehicle

The invention relates to a roof panel intended for closing an opening provided in a roof of a motor vehicle. The roof panel is at least along part of its circumference provided with a sealing section made of a resilient material, which is mounted on a supporting flange of the roof panel. Near its upper end the sealing section is provided with a sealing flange, which is at least substantially in line with the closing plate, the sealing flange joining an upper end of a leg of a substantially U-shaped connecting part near its end located near the closing plate. The other leg, which is located at a larger distance from the closing plate, is connected with the supporting flange, whilst a resilient lip engaging under the closing plate is connected to the leg joining the sealing flange of the sealing section.

Motor vehicle sliding roof panel seal

The invention relates to a roof panel assembly for a vehicle comprising a roof panel, which is adjustable from a position closing the opening in the roof to a first ventilating position, in which the roof panel has been pivoted upwards from its closed position about a pivot axis extending transversely to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and a second sliding position, in which the roof panel has at least partially been moved downwards from its closed position, in such a manner that the roof panel can be moved under the roof of the vehicle. The roof panel assembly is provided with a guide rail to be secured to the roof, along which an operating means is movable. A first lift arm, which is pivotable about a pivot axis located near the guide rail, is movably and pivotally connected with the roof panel by means of a pivot axis and is provided with a guide groove for receiving a cam connected with the operating means. When the operating means moves along the guide rail, with tile cam engaging in tile guide groove in the first lift arm, the first lift arm is pivoted about tile pivot axis so as to move tile roof panel towards the ventilating position. A second lift arm is fixedly connected with the panel, and said second lift arm is provided with a further guide groove for the cam of the operating means. In the at least substantially closed position of the panel an open end of the guide groove in the first pivotable lift arm is at least substantially contiguous to an open end of the guide groove in the second lift arm.
