The depilation system comprises an electric depilation apparatus and a cartridge. The depilation apparatus comprises a depilation head, a drive unit, and a chamber adapted to accommodate the cartridge. The cartridge comprises a reservoir for holding a substance, a discharge channel, and a pump. The chamber extends between the depilation head and the drive unit. The depilation head is movable with respect to the depilation apparatus in such a manner that the chamber is accessible. In order to enable the pump to be actuated, the depilation apparatus comprises an actuator which extends into the chamber. A mechanism couples the actuator to a button at the exterior of the depilation apparatus in such a manner that the actuator can be driven by moving the button.

Depilation system

A housing (,) of an apparatus has a plastics wall portion (,) provided with a plastics panel (,). To make a reliable and visually acceptable connection of the panel (,) to the wall portion (,), the panel is fixed to the wall portion by means of an induction welding process. In this way the connection is resistant to chemical compounds like lotions. Therefore a metal element (,) of electric conducting material having the shape of a closed loop wire is inserted between the wall portion (,) and the panel (,) and subsequently an electromagnetic field is applied in close proximity to the element. Preferably such panel (,) can be used to cover an opening (,) in the wall portion (,) for a display (,) and/or a switch (,) function. To make the housing watertight the element (,) between the panel (,) and the wall portion (,) should surround the opening (,).

The depilation system comprises an electric depilation apparatus and a cartridge (2). The depilation apparatus (1) comprises a depilation head (3), a drive unit (11), and a chamber (12) adapted to accommodate the cartridge (2). The cartridge (2comprises a reservoir (21) for holding a substance, a discharge channel (22), and a pump (23). The chamber extends between the depilation head and the drive unit. The depilation head is movable with respect to the depilation apparatus in such a manner that the chamber is accessible. In order to enable the pump to be actuated, the depilation apparatus comprises an actuator which extends into the chamber. A mechanism couples the actuator to a button at the exterior of the depilation apparatus (1) in such a manner that the actuator (13) can be driven by moving the button (15).

A device for rinsing objects has a holder (1) for supporting an object (4) to be cleaned, two passages (8, 9) at opposite sides of the object situated in the holder in operation, and two reservoirs (10, 11) for holding rinsing liquid (18), a first reservoir (10) communicating with a first passage (8) and a second reservoir (11) communicating with a second passage (9), and at least the first reservoir (10) having a variable volume.

A shaving apparatus is provided having a housing (1), provided with a holder (2) in which at least one cutting unit (3) is mounted, which cutting unit comprises an external cutting member (4) and an internal cutting member (5) which is rotatably drivable relative to said external cutting member, and provided with a skin supporting rim (6) surrounding the external cutting member, which external cutting member (4) has at least one hair-entry aperture (8) and is mounted so as to be movable relative to the holder (2), said internal cutting member (5) being in resilient engagement with the external cutting member. For a better control of the pressure between the external cutting member (4) and the skin the skin supporting rim (6) is pivotable both relative to its associated external cutting member (4) and relative to the holder (2).
