The invention relates to a process and an installation to produce a monovinylaromatic polymer (3) comprising post-consumer recycled polystyrene (PCR-PS) wherein the process comprises the steps of mixing the PCR-PS (5) and the monovinylaromatic monomer (7) within a dissolver (9) to dissolve the PCR-PS (5) in the monovinylaromatic monomer (7) so as to produce a polymerization mixture (13); and a step of filtering the polymerization mixture (13) that includes continuously redirecting at least a part of the stream of the filtered polymerization mixture (17) back to the dissolver (9) and mixing it with the polymerization mixture (13) so as to continuously reduce the content of insoluble material in the polymerization mixture (13) contained in the dissolver (9).

Process for producing monovinylaromatic polymer incorporating post-consumer recycled polystyrene, monovinylaromatic polymer incorporating post-consumer recycled polystyrene and articles produced thereof

The invention relates to a process and an installation to produce a monovinylaromatic polymer () comprising post-consumer recycled polystyrene (PCR-PS) wherein the process comprises the steps of mixing the PCR-PS () and the monovinylaromatic monomer () within a dissolver () to dissolve the PCR-PS () in the monovinylaromatic monomer () so as to produce a polymerization mixture (); and a step of filtering the polymerization mixture () that includes continuously redirecting at least a part of the stream of the filtered polymerization mixture () back to the dissolver () and mixing it with the polymerization mixture () so as to continuously reduce the content of insoluble material in the polymerization mixture () contained in the dissolver ().

Modified catalyst supports

A low viscosity oil has more than 50% by weight of 9-methylnonadecane. A lubricating composition has this low viscosity oil as base oil and, optionally, another base oil or an additive. The low viscosity oil has a kinematic viscosity at 100&#xb0; C., measured by the ASTM D445 standard, of 0.5 to 2.5 mms. The low viscosity oil can be prepared using a metallocene catalyst, and the low viscosity oil can be used as high performance lubricant for lubrication in the field of motors, hydraulic fluids and gears, in particular bridges and transmissions.

Processes for preparing a polyethylene in at least one continuously stirred tank reactor are described herein. The process includes step of quenching of the reaction in order to form the lactic acid chains consisting of 70 or less of the lactide monomers, and the quenching agent is an acid chloride having a formula of Cl&#x2014;CO&#x2014;R, wherein Ris 1-pentenyl or aminoethyl.

Process for the preparation of defined functional lactic acid oligomers

A process may include contacting an olefin monomer and a racemic bridged metallocene catalyst at a temperature of 80&#xb0; C. to 150&#xb0; C. in the presence of hydrogen. Use of a metallocene catalyst to produce a polyalpha-olefin

A method can include immortal ring-opening homopolymerisation of cyclic carbonates or cyclic esters in the presence of a catalytic system, or sequential two-step ring-opening block copolymerisation of one or more cyclic monomers selected from cyclic carbonates or cyclic esters in the presence of the catalytic system. The catalytic system can include a phenolate supported metallic complex. The catalytic system can also include an alcohol or a primary amine containing aliphatic and/or aromatic moieties. The alcohol or primary amine can be present in a molar ratio with respect to the metallic complex that is larger than 1.
