A modular faucet bar spout in which trim may be removed or reinstalled from above a sink deck without affecting the waterway connections beneath the sink deck is disclosed. Each faucet or spout includes a valve body wit a trim set. The valve body includes a pair of tubular conduits spaced apart to extend through passages in the sink deck and a cross conduit connecting the tubular conduits. A water outlet nipple leads from the cross conduit and has a slide-on fitting located above the sink deck when the conduits are positioned to extend through the passages. The trim set includes an escutcheon, an adapter and a spout. The escutcheon has an open bottom and a spout connecting passage formed in its top surface. The adapter is positioned in the escutcheon and has a slide-on inlet connection to receive and connect to the water outlet nipple of the valve body.

A quick connect/disconnect faucet water conduit assembly includes at least one valve body and a spout nipple. There is a water tube extending from the valve body and a water tube extending from the spout nipple. A conduit has first and second terminations and there is a quick connect adapter attached to each of the first and second terminations. There are cooperating elements on each of the tubes and the quick connect adapters for locking the tubes to the adapters to thereby attach the valve body to the spout nipple.

A height adjustable water spout mounting assembly includes a sleeve having an external threaded surface for deck mounting the sleeve and an internal threaded surface. There is a spout interface formed and adapted to extend above the spout deck with an outer surface which is at least in part threaded and sized to extend within and have its exterior threads interact with the interior threads on the sleeve for relative height adjustment of the spout interface with the spout mounting deck. There is further a height adjustable diverter lift rod associated with the sleeve and spout interface.

A side spray mounting assembly includes a side spray with an attached water hose extending downwardly through a hose guide. A mounting nut attaches the hose guide to a sink deck. There is an escutcheon which is attached to the hose guide above the sink deck with the side spray being supported by the escutcheon. A collapsible insert is inserted within the escutcheon and the hose guide to prevent wobble of the side spray when it is positioned within the escutcheon.

A kitchen deck side spray assembly for attachment to a water hose includes a spray body having spray openings. There is a water path in the spray body connecting the spray openings with the hose. A valve member is located in the water path and there is a spring biasing the valve member to a normally closed position. A trigger on the spray body is in operative relationship with the valve member for causing movement thereof to operate the spray. A tube is connected to the water hose and there is a quick connect adapter positioned within the spray body. There are cooperating elements on the tube and the quick connect adapter for locking the tube to the adapter to thereby attach the side spray assembly to the hose. The side spray may be disassembled from the hose, completely from above the sink deck, permitting the exterior of the side spray to be replaced without the necessity of work being done underneath the sink deck.

A plumbing fixture adapted to be installed from the top side of a sink deck through a sink deck opening includes a housing having a body portion which is adapted to extend through the sink deck opening and below the sink deck when mounted. The housing has a shoulder which is adapted to seat on the sink deck when mounted. There is a collar slidably movable on the body portion and of a size to pass through the sink deck opening. A threaded bore is in the collar and an unthreaded bore is in the housing shoulder, and a threaded member extends through these bores, with rotation of the threaded member from above the sink deck moving the collar axially along the housing body portion. Outwardly-biased yielding members are associated with the collar and extend outwardly therefrom such that when so extended the collar will not pass through the sink deck opening. The fixture is mounted to the sink deck by first compressing the outwardly extending yielding members to pass the body portion and collar through the sink deck opening from above the sink deck until the shoulder portion is seated on the sink deck and the yielding members have extended after passing is through the sink deck opening. The threaded member is then rotated until the collar has moved axially along the body portion and is in contact with the underside of the sink deck.

A plumbing fixture adapted to be installed from the top side of a sink deck through a sink deck opening includes a valve body having an exterior threaded portion of a size to pass through the sink deck opening. There is a shoulder on the valve body which is adapted to seat upon the sink deck when the threaded portion extends through the sink deck opening. A threaded collar is mounted on the valve body threaded portion with the collar being of a size to pass through the sink deck opening. A collapsible sleeve is coaxial with the valve body and positioned thereon between the collar and the shoulder, the sleeve having an outer diameter, when collapsed, which will permit the sleeve to pass through the sink deck opening. Rotation the valve body from above the sink deck, after the threaded portion, collar and collapsible sleeve have been passed through the sink deck opening, causes the collar to move on the valve body toward the underside of the sink deck to axially compress and radially expand the collapsible sleeve until the valve body is secured to the sink deck between the valve body shoulder and radially expanded collapsible sleeve.

A plumbing fixture adapted to be installed from the top side of a sink deck through a sink deck opening includes a housing having a body portion which is adapted to extend through the sink deck opening and below the sink deck when mounted. The housing has a shoulder which is adapted to seat on the sink deck when mounted. There is a collar slidably movable on the body portion and of a size to pass through the sink deck opening. A threaded bore is in the collar and an unthreaded bore is in the housing shoulder, and a threaded member extends through these bores, with rotation of the threaded member from above the sink deck moving the collar axially along the housing body portion. The housing body portion has a recessed area thereon to accommodate inward movement of a pair of outwardly-biased yielding members, such as button-shaped projections, which are associated with the collar and extend outwardly therefrom such that when so extended the collar will not pass through the sink deck opening. The fixture is mounted to the sink deck by first compressing the outwardly-extending button-shaped projections to pass the body portion and collar through the sink deck opening from above the sink deck until the shoulder portion is seated on the sink deck and the button-shaped projections have extended after passing through the sink deck opening. The threaded member is then rotated until the collar has moved axially along the body portion and is in contact with the underside of the sink deck.

A modular shower arm construction for use in removably attaching a shower fixture to an unthreaded end of a pipe extending outwardly from a shower wall without affecting connection of the pipe to a water supply system behind the shower wall includes a tubular shower arm, an adapter and a coupling nut. The adapter is fixed to the pipe, either by a set screw or through the use of a threaded nipple. The tubular shower arm has an outwardly flared end which extends within the coupling nut and the coupling nut is threaded onto the adapter and holds the tubular shower arm to the assembled components. An escutcheon overlies and covers all of the connecting elements and is removed when the tubular shower arm and adapter are removed from the unthreaded end of the pipe.
