A multipurpose blower assembly for stimulating flows in underwater environments, which includes a lower assembly connecting to an upper assembly by a rotating shaft and a mount post for connecting the blower assembly to a supportive structure near a water body and supporting the lower assembly below and the upper assembly above the water body's surface. The lower assembly includes a lower bracket for supporting a blower motor, whereas the upper assembly includes a top plate for mounting an electrical gear motor having an output shaft connecting to the rotating shaft and a system controller having a microcontroller communicatively coupled to logic circuits for controlling operation of the electrical gear motor for rotation of the lower assembly relative to the upper assembly and a linear actuator to move upward and downward the lower bracket to effect angular positioning of the blower motor.

An accessibility-enhancing joint module may include a housing, a powered motor disposed within the housing, a rotatable receiving member operatively connected to the powered motor, a coupling element configured to attach to the receiving member, and a control board disposed within the housing and operatively connected to the powered motor, wherein the coupling element is disposed external to the housing. An accessibility-enhancing arm assembly may include a first joint module and a second joint module and a tubular arm member attached to the proximal mounting portion of the first joint module and the proximal mounting portion of the second joint module, each joint module including a housing having a body portion and a proximal mounting portion, a powered motor disposed within the housing, and a rotatable receiving member operatively connected to the powered motor. The joint module(s) and/or the arm assembly may be operable by a variety of accessible controls.

Automated mounting and positioning apparatus for increased user independence

A countdown timer contact lens case is provided for removably receiving a receptacle and providing independent timing functions for displaying the useful remaining life of a contact lens and for the receptacle for receiving the contact lens when not worn. The countdown timer contact lens case includes a receptacle carried by a main body. The main body includes a timing circuit and a display with first and second indicators corresponding to the respective remaining time for desired use of the lens and for the receptacle. The timer for the lens displays a maximum value which is less than the displayed maximum value of the timer for the receptacle. The timer corresponding to each of the lens and the receptacle can be independent set and reset, and a warning feature is provided to signal the user when the corresponding displayed lens or receptacle value diminishes below a minimum, or decreases to zero.
