The invention relates to a surge protection device ensemble comprising a surge protection device having an overvoltage protection means in a first housing, wherein the first housing has at least two connections for contacting the overvoltage protection means, characterized in that the surge protection device ensemble also has a fuse module having a fuse in a second housing, wherein the second housing has at least two connections for contacting the fuse, characterized in that the second housing having one of the connections of the fuse module is inserted in a form-fitting manner into one connection of the at least two connections of the surge protection device, wherein the fuse module provides an electrical connection on the inserted side between the fuse module and the surge protection device.

The invention relates to an assembly with an electrotechnical component on a carrier. A first electrical connecting line and a second electrical connecting line going to the electrotechnical component are provided on or in the carrier. The electrotechnical component comprises a first connection and a second connection. The first connection is attached on the carrier by a thermally softenable solder material to the first electrical power supply line, and the second connection is attached on the carrier by a thermally softenable solder material to the second electrical power supply line. A first electrical signal line to the electrotechnical component is provided on or in the carrier. The assembly furthermore comprises a mechanical prestressing, which in the event that the solder material is softened can displace the electrotechnical component on the surface substantially in a parallel plane to the carrier or orthogonally to the carrier.

The object of the invention is a distribution system with an electronic fuse terminal and at least one first series terminal, wherein the electronic fuse terminal and the at least one first series terminal are arranged immediately adjacent to one another on a mounting rail, and wherein the electronic fuse terminal and the at least one first series terminal each have at least one adjacent bridging member, wherein the electronic fuse terminal can be supplied with input voltage, with the electronic fuse terminal making at least one protected first output potential available, and wherein the protected first output potential is forwarded to the first series terminal by means of a first bridging plug to the first series terminal.

Aspects of the innovations herein relate to surge protection devices. Such surge protection devices may have an arrester. The arrester may produce an equalization between different potentials and arrest a surge current during use. A sensor may be provided on the arrester, said sensor generating an electric switch-off signal. A switching device may receive the switch-off signal and separate the arrester from an electric circuit, the switching device and arrester being arranged in a physically separate manner from each other.

Surge protection device

The subject matter of the invention is a device for diverting surge currents or transient overvoltages (), with a switching stage () and a switching element (). The switching stage () is so designed as to switch on the switching element () upon identification of an overvoltage or a surge current. The switching element () is a reversible semiconductor switching element, while the switch-on event is achieved by operating of the switching element () outside of the specified parameters.

Device for diverting surge currents or transient overvoltages

An overvoltage protection device for protection of an electrical or electronic device, with a housing, with input and output terminals for electrical conductors, with line paths which each connect one input terminal to one output terminal, with first arresters which are used for symmetrical protection between the active conductors and with second arresters which are used for asymmetrical protection between the individual conductors and the ground potential, the individual first arresters each being connected by their first terminal to a line path and by their second terminal to a common connecting point so that they are at a common reference potential and symmetrical protection between two conductors is implemented by two first arresters located in series to one another. The overvoltage protection device can also be used in signal circuits with several signal conductors and can guarantee reliable protection of a connected electrical or electronic device against overvoltages.

Overvoltage protection device

A surge protection device includes a first electrode and a second electrode. An air breakdown spark gap is between the second and first electrodes, an arc being formed upon an ignition of the air breakdown spark gap. A series arrangement of a potential dividing element and an ignition element is connected to the first and second electrodes.

Overload protection device

An overvoltage protection means having a first electrode (), a second electrode (), a breakdown spark gap between the two electrodes (), and a housing () which holds the electrodes (). When the breakdown spark gap is ignited, an arc () is formed between the two electrodes () within the discharge space () which connects the two electrodes (). The overvoltage protection arrangement has an especially high line follow current extinguishing capacity, but can nevertheless be easily built, and the discharge space () is made such that it runs at least partially transversely and/or opposite the direction of the electrical field of the prevailing line voltage so that the distance to be overcome by the arc () between the two electrodes () has a transverse component relative to the electrical field.

Surge suppressor

An overvoltage protection device for protection of low voltage electrical installations, has a device base part with terminals for phase conductors and ground or neutral conductors and at least one overvoltage protection element, with at least one arrester which is located in a housing. The base part of the device has at least one telecommunications contact which has a switch for remote indication of the state of at least one overvoltage protection element, the base part of the device having plug contacts which are connected to the terminals, and the overvoltage protection element having corresponding connector contacts so that the overvoltage protection element can be plugged onto the base part of the device. The overvoltage protection device is improved by the overvoltage protection element having an optical status display and the optical status display and the switch of the telecommunications contact being actuated via a common mechanical actuating system.
