A fuel filter element has a screen fabric as a filter medium and a support tube supporting the screen fabric. A valve body guide for guiding a spherical valve body is provided. The valve body guide has a fluid channel and one or more support ribs for supporting the spherical valve body. The support ribs extend along a longitudinal direction of the fluid channel and project radially into the fluid channel. A filter assembly with such a fuel filter element is provided. The filter assembly has a ball valve with spherical valve body and a filter housing with a valve seat for the spherical valve body of the ball valve.

Fuel filter element and filter assembly

A water separation element is provided with a cylindrical woven fabric screen for separating water. The woven fabric screen is made of woven fabric yarns positioned angularly relative to each other. A first annular support piece is arranged at a first end face of the woven fabric screen and is fixedly connected to a rim area of the woven fabric screen. The first annular support piece has a lateral edge facing the woven fabric screen. The woven fabric screen is flowed through in radial direction. The woven fabric yarns of the woven fabric screen are positioned, at least over sections, at an angle greater than 0&#xb0; and smaller than 90&#xb0; relative to the facing lateral edge of the first annular support piece. A second annular support piece is connected to the second end face. A filter element and a filter device with such a water separation element are provided.

A coalescing element for a water separator device for fuel is provided with at least one coalescing medium that separates water contained in the fuel from the fuel. The coalescing element is arranged in a housing of the water separator device such that the coalescing element separates at least one fuel inlet of the housing from at least one fuel outlet of the housing. The at least one coalescing medium is arranged in a flow path of the fuel from the at least one fuel inlet to the at least one fuel outlet. The at least one coalescing medium contains at least one sponge-like coalescing material suitable for coalescing water. The coalescing element is used in fuel filters such as diesel fuel filters of an internal combustion engine.

A filter element arranged in a filter housing is provided with an annular filter medium flowed through by a liquid medium in a flow direction radial to a longitudinal axis of the filter element. A clean chamber is arranged in the flow direction of the liquid medium downstream of the filter medium. A filtered liquid medium outlet is fluidically connected to the clean chamber. A cylinder-shaped water separating screen is arranged in the clean chamber to separate water contained in the liquid medium. A water outlet opening fluidically connects the clean chamber to a water collecting chamber of the filter housing. A particle filter is arranged at the water outlet opening or arranged between the water outlet opening and the filtered liquid medium outlet of the filter element. The water outlet opening of the filter element is fluidically connected with the water collecting chamber of the filter housing.

Filter element and filter system for a liquid medium, in particular diesel fuel

The invention relates to a filter element () having a first fluid path () on a raw side () for filtering a first fluid () and a second fluid path () having a fluid line () on a clean side () for carrying a second fluid (). The filter element () is provided at least on one side with a first end plate (). Here, the fluid line () is arranged in the central inner region () of the filter element () and connected with the end plate () for joint disassembly, especially securely connected to the filter element. The invention further relates to a filter system () including such a filter element ().

Filter element

Disclosed is a filter element () with multi-stage cleaning, and a fuel filter () having such a filter element (). The filter element () has a particle filter medium, a coalescer medium, a sediment gap () and a final separator screen. The filter housing has a filter housing body () and a cover () screwed onto the filter housing body (). When the cover () is unscrewed from the filter housing body (), at least one bayonet projection () of the filter element () engages behind a corresponding bayonet receptacle (), such that the cover () can be removed together with the filter element () arranged thereon by way of the bayonet connection.

A water separating device of a filter element for separating water from a liquid hydrocarbon has a coalescing medium in the from of a hollow body and designed to coalesce water droplets of the liquid hydrocarbon passing through the coalescing medium in a flow direction of the liquid hydrocarbon. A hydrophobic separating medium in the form of a hollow body and permeable for the liquid hydrocarbon is provided. The hydrophobic separating medium is arranged in a flow direction of the liquid hydrocarbon downstream of the coalescing medium and separates water droplets of the liquid hydrocarbon from the liquid hydrocarbon. At least one precipitation gap is formed between the coalescing medium and the separating medium.

Water separating device, filter element of a fuel filter and a fuel filter

A filter () with a filter element () are described. A housing () includes at least one fuel inlet, fuel outlet () and a water outlet () for water separated from the fuel. The filter element () within the housing separates the fuel inlet () from the fuel outlet (). The filter element () includes a hollow body filter medium () flowed through radially. A water separation unit () with a hollow body hydrophobic fuel-permeable separating medium () separates water contained in the fuel and includes at least one support structure disposed in the flow path () in such a way that a precipitation gap () is realized between the filter medium () and the separating medium (). The precipitation gap () is connected with the water outlet ().

Fuel filter of an internal combustion engine and filter element of a fuel filter

Disclosed is a fuel filter () for fuel, in particular diesel fuel, of an internal combustion engine, in particular of a motor vehicle, and to a filter element of such a fuel filter. A housing () has at least one fuel inlet () for the fuel to be cleaned, at least one fuel outlet () for cleaned fuel, and at least one water outlet () for water which has been separated from the fuel. The filter element () is arranged in the housing (), said filter element sealingly separating the fuel inlet () from the fuel outlet (). The filter element () has a filter medium () which is designed as a hollow body and which can be permeated from the inside to the outside or from the outside to the inside in order to filter the fuel. The filter element () has a coalescing medium () designed as a hollow body for separating water contained in the fuel. The coalescing medium () is arranged downstream of the filter medium () in the flow path () of the fuel, around said filter medium, or in the interior () delimited by the filter medium. The coalescing medium () includes at least one regenerated-fiber coalescing system consisting of a coalescing material () which is suitable for coalescing water and which has at least 20 wt. % of regenerated fibers, preferably at least 50 wt. %.

Fuel filter of an internal combustion engine, and filter element of a fuel filter

The invention relates to a fuel filter () having a filter element () for separating water from the fuel. The water can be fed into a collection chamber () of the fuel filter () via a first conduit (), which extends from the filter element () to the collection chamber (). Provided in the first conduit () is a branching off of a second conduit (), which enables fluid discharge from the first conduit (). Preferably, a throttle () and in particular a press-fit throttle is provided in the second conduit (), in order to regulate the amount of outflow. The second conduit () preferably branches off from the first conduit () at substantially adegree angle to the first conduit (), so that fluid flowing in the first conduit () primarily flows past the second conduit () and reaches the collection chamber ().

Fuel filter

A filter device has an annular particle filter having a raw side face and a radially separated clean side face, and axially opposing end faces. An annular water separating element is arranged in a flow path downstream of the particle filter, the water separating element circumferentially surrounding the particle filter at a radial spacing. An open inner annular space is defined by and between the particle filter and the water separating element and an outer annular space is defined by and between the water separating element and the filter housing.
