A label sheet assembly and method is disclosed for improving the process of feeding label sheets through a printer. The label sheet assembly may include a facestock layer and a liner sheet. The facestock layer may include an adhesive layer along at least a portion of a first side and include a label surface along at least a portion of the second side opposite the adhesive layer. The liner sheet layer may include at least one surface feature provided along a back side of the liner sheet. In another embodiment, the facestock layer may include at least one surface feature provided along the front of the facestock layer. The surface features may create a zone of increased friction or increase tactile sensitivity along the various surfaces of the label sheet assembly to improve printer processing.

A label sheet assembly and method is disclosed for improving the process of feeding label sheets through a printer. The label sheet assembly may include a facestock layer and a liner sheet. The facestock layer may include an adhesive layer along at least a portion of a first side and include a label surface along at least a portion of the second side opposite the adhesive layer. The facestock layer may include at least one cut line that defines at least one label within the facestock layer while the remaining portions of the facestock layer may be a matrix portion. The matrix portion may include at least one discontinuous cut line spaced from the cut line that defines at least one label wherein the discontinuous cut line may create a zone of decreased bending stiffness along the label sheet assembly.

The present invention includes a label, a label sheet and a method for manufacturing the label. The label includes a paper facestock having first and second surfaces and a layer of pressure sensitive adhesive proximal to the second surface. The label can be adhered to a substrate having pre-applied indicia to cover the indicia and the label is opaque enough to prevent the viewing of the covered indicia while matching the color of the substrate.

Block out label, label sheet, and related method

A label sheet () having a release liner () and a column of labels () releasably adhered thereto is modified to allow easy removal of the labels. The liner has a weakened separation line () formed by cuts and ties running underneath a column of labels near the edge of the labels, and notches () at the top and bottom of the sheet aligned with the cuts and ties. A matrix () surrounding the labels, if present, also has cuts and ties, with the cuts and ties in the matrix parallel to and slightly offset from the cuts and ties in the liner. The separation lines are strong enough that the label sheet can be fed through a printer, yet weak enough that a user can tear off the liner and matrix along the separation lines, thus leaving a minor edge of a column of labels exposed for easy removal from the label sheet.

A label sheet including a facestock, and a liner releasably coupled to the facestock. The facestock includes a label and the liner includes a weakened separation line. The weakened separation line at least partially underlies the label. Also, the weakened separation line includes an apex.

Sheet having removable labels

A card sheet including a top material having punched lines, the front side of the top material being printable. A carrier material of at least one polymer layer is directly applied as by extruding to the back side of the top material. The polymer has a stress-at-break in the range of 10 to 30 MPa and an elongation at break in the range of 10 to 120%. From the card sheet individual cards may be broken out to form high quality calling (business) cards, photograph cards, post cards or the like.

Method of making a card sheet

A label sheet includes a transparent film support material, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, a release layer, a printable layer, one or more first detachment lines, and one or more second detachment lines. The transparent film support material has an inner surface and an outer surface. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is disposed over the transparent film support material inner surface. The release layer is disposed over the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. The printable layer is disposed over the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, and includes an inner surface facing the release layer and an opposing outer surface. The outer surface exhibits a roughness of 4 to 50 &#x3bc;m (DIN 4768). The one or more first detachment lines extend from the printable layer outer surface and through the printable layer and the release layer, to thereby form a first sub-region. The one or more second detachment lines extend from the support material outer surface and through the support material and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, to thereby form a second sub-region that is larger than the first sub-region.
