Embodiments of the disclosed innovations provide systems and methods for locating data associated with rendered documents. Some embodiments support the use of a handheld document data capture device.

Search engines and systems with handheld document data capture devices

A method for monitoring health maintenance by collecting an initial blood sample from an individual and dividing the collected blood sample into at least two parts. The first of the two parts is immediately analyzed for multiple blood components levels, and the second part is frozen immediately after the collection to be used at a later time as a comparative standard. After a period of time, a second blood sample is collected from the same individual and analyzed for the same multiple blood components levels in a parallel test with the frozen part. The results obtained from the second blood sample are then compared to the results from the frozen comparative standard to detect real changes in the multiple blood components levels over time.

Method for health maintenance monitoring

A system and method for automatically changing the operation of a mobile device in response to a presence of information is described. In some examples, the system determines an information capture device is proximate to text, automatically changes operation of the capture device to a certain mode, captures the text, and performs an action associated with the captured text.

Some embodiments further provide automatic intermediation to gain access to protected digital materials.
