A data transmission device has a data transmitter and a wake-up receiver. The data transmitter is activable to change from an idle state into an operating state and to execute a data transmission with a communication partner in the operating state. The wake-up receiver is implemented to be ready to receive an initiation signal during the idle state of the data transmitter and to activate the data transmitter in response to the initiation signal. The wake-up receiver is further implemented to extract data transmission information from the initiation signal to determine a time for activating the data transmitter depending on the data transmission information or to activate the data transmitter such that the data transmitter executes the data transmission depending on the data transmission information.

A mobile device communicates with a base station according to a communication protocol, the communication protocol having a first message for signaling a readiness of the base station for a normal login operation of the mobile device with the base station and a second message for signaling a readiness of the base station for an ad-hoc login operation of the mobile device with the base station, so that the ad-hoc login information of the ad-hoc login operation can be distinguished from the normal login information of the normal login operation. To this end, the mobile device has a receiver, an interpreter and a processor, which is formed so as to perform the ad-hoc login operation when the readiness of the base station for an ad-hoc login operation is signaled.

A conference terminal for a digital voice conference system comprises a first sound transducer means, which is implemented to generate a microphone signal from an acoustic signal, a second sound transducer means, which is implemented to generate an acoustic signal from a loudspeaker signal, a connecting means, which is implemented to enable a connection between conference terminal and a conference central unit, to receive a composite conference signal from the conference central unit, and a means for echo suppression, which is implemented to combine the microphone signal or a signal derived therefrom in a noise suppression means with a composite conference signal in a listening operation of the conference terminal, such that a loudspeaker signal results, in which the acoustic signal, on which the microphone signal is based, is reduced. Such a conference terminal allows the suppression of a remote own echo and a remote foreign echo, whereby digital wireless voice conference systems can be realized, which ensure high voice quality and noise immunity with minimum wiring effort.

A voice conference apparatus consists of at least one base conference block having three or more signal ports, each including an input for a digitalized voice signal and an output for a digitalized voice signal, wherein a base conference block is configured such that, at a signal port, optionally a terminal or another base conference block may be coupled up using a coupler for the realization of a voice conference apparatus extended with respect to the number of participants or in terms of space, and wherein a base conference block is configured to enable a voice conference among the terminals or base conference blocks coupled thereto, and a remote coupler configured to couple a base conference block with at least one other spatially remote base conference block in order to enable a spatially extended voice conference. A voice conference system may be composed of at least two spatially separate voice conference apparatuses and is structured in a decentralized and modular way and is flexibly extensible.

A DECT transmit-receive terminal comprises a plurality of transmit-receive antennas for communicating with a DECT base station, a device for determining the quality of a communications connection between the DECT transmit-receive terminal and the DECT base station, and a means for switching over from one transmit-receive antenna to another transmit-receive antenna, said switch-over means being connected to the determining device for switching over if the quality of the communications connection is below a predetermined threshold. An antenna diversity effect is thus realized for the DECT transmit-receive terminal by means of which the transmission quality of the communications connection is improved.
