A contact arrangement for a connector includes a plurality of contact elements each extending from a first connection side to a second connection side. A plurality of first end sections of a first subset of the contact elements contact a plurality of external elements in a first plane at the first connection side and a plurality of first end sections of a second subset of the contact elements contact a plurality of external elements in a second plane at the first connection side. The second plane is parallel to and spaced from the first plane in a height direction. A plurality of intermediate sections of at least some of the contact elements lie in a single common plane.

A housing for an electrical connector includes a housing body having an opening receiving a cable in an insertion direction and a pair of cable covers hinged to the housing body at a proximal end of each cable cover of the pair of cable covers. The pair of cable covers extend away from the opening. Each of the cable covers is pivoted away from the other cable cover in a cable mounting position and each cable cover is pivoted toward the other cable cover to form a cable support sleeve supporting the cable in an operating position.

A plug insert comprises a plug insert body including at least one contact member accessible from outside the plug insert, at least one insulation displacement contact electrically connected to the contact member, and a guiding assembly. At least one wire manager module includes at least one cable receptacle for receiving and holding a cable or wire. The guiding assembly guides the wire manager module relative to the plug insert body from a pre-assembly position, to an assembly position in which the insulation displacement contact extends into the cable receptacle.

A cable terminating assembly for terminating a cable having a wire includes a wire manager having an end face facing in an insertion direction and a connector housing with a reception opening receiving at least a part of the wire manager. The end face holds the wire in a predetermined position along the insertion direction. The connector housing has a cutting blade formed by an electrically insulating material. The cutting blade cuts the wire upon insertion of the wire manager into the connector housing.

A connector includes a connector housing having a coupling side for coupling with a complementary connector along a connection direction and a lever assembly including a lever for coupling with the complementary connector. The lever is pivotable around an axis of rotation on the connector housing. The axis of rotation extends essentially perpendicular to the connection direction. The lever extends in at least one position in the connection direction away from the axis of rotation toward the coupling side. The lever assembly has an extension that is movable relative to the lever and that extends the lever assembly in an extended state away from the axis of rotation.

A contact member for an insulation displacement contact (IDC) terminal includes an encasement wall at least partially surrounding a receptacle volume receiving a wire or cable, an IDC member having an IDC blade penetrating an insulation of the wire or cable and a contact edge electrically contacting a core of the wire or cable, and a cutting blade cutting the wire or cable. The receptacle volume has an opening at least partially framed by the encasement wall. The IDC member is formed in a first wall section of the encasement wall. The cutting blade is formed in a second wall section of the encasement wall opposite the first wall section. Both the IDC blade and the cutting blade face the opening.

An arrangement for an electrical connector is disclosed. The arrangement has a first connector portion and a second connector portion which can be folded relative to each other, the first connector portion having an insulation displacement contact and the second connector portion having a cable pressing face facing the insulation displacement contact, and a fitting sleeve having inner faces fitting over the first and second connector portions in a fitting direction, the inner faces extending towards each other counter to the fitting direction.

An electrical connector is disclosed. The electrical connector has a middle housing having a first upper contact spring and a first upper opening, an upper cover connected to the middle housing and having a first upper termination clamp, wherein the upper cover rotatably and linearly moves with respect to the middle housing between an open position and a closed position, and a cable having a first core, the first core extending into the first upper opening. In the closed position of the upper cover, the first upper termination clamp contacts the first core in an electrically conductive manner and abuts the first upper contact spring.

A plug connector has a housing, a locking spring, and a catch spring. The locking spring is connected to the housing and has a locking position and an open position. The catch spring is connected to the housing, and has a compressed position when the locking spring is in the open position and a rest position only when the locking spring is in the open position.

The invention relates to an IDC (Insulation Displacement Connector) contact for an electrical plug. The IDC contact includes a wire contact section and a secondary contact section. The wire contact section includes a cable receiving opening at a proximal end thereof and extending into a slotted cable receiving section. The secondary contact section includes a contact spring extending from and positioned adjacent to the wire contact section and a contact arm extending from the contact spring and extending to a contact point.

The invention relates to a contact means () for attaching an end of a cable (). The contact means () has a casing () with an inner chamber () for receiving a section of the cable () in the region of the cable end, and a pull relief element () which can be fastened to the casing () in the inner chamber (), with a pull relief section () and at least one contacting section (). The pull relief section () is formed to fix a cable sheath () of the cable (). The contacting section () is formed to contact a shield () of the cable ().

A plug-in connector is provided that can be released easily and reliably from an assigned mating connector, and has increased lifetime. The plug-in connector includes a plug head and a sliding sleeve. The plug head has a hollow body with at least one cable connector, and at least two locks located on at least one surface of the body. The locks are connected by a bridge, and extend in a sliding direction. Each lock includes at least one free end. The sliding sleeve includes an opening to receive the plug head in a sliding direction and is movable in an axial direction relative to the plug head. An unlocking element is located on an inner side of the opening and positioned to contact the bridge of the plug head. The unlocking element pushes against the locks when the sliding sleeve moves in the sliding direction.

An electric plug having a first connection region, a second connection region, and a contact carrier. The first connection region, having at least one vertical contact, is provided for connecting at least one electrical conductor, while the second connection region includes at least one horizontal contact for contacting a counter connector which is to be connected to the electric plug. The contact carrier includes an upper surface on which the vertical and horizontal contacts are provided, with the contact carrier being configured to electrically interconnect the first and second connection regions. Furthermore, the contact carrier is arranged in a housing, forming a datum plane on the lower side of the housing in the plug-in direction, with the upper surface of the contact carrier is arranged in an inclined position with respect to the datum plane.
