A disc brake includes a pressure piece, an adjusting spindle, and an adjustment unit. The adjusting spindle is guided through an opening, provided with a thread unit, of the pressure piece. The adjusting spindle is guided through the adjusting unit, and the adjusting unit protrudes into the opening. The adjusting spindle has a limitation disposed in a thread turn of the adjusting spindle.

A disc brake () for motor vehicles includes at least two brake pads (), an application unit () with a setting spindle () arranged axially in the direction of the brake pads (), and a resetting device () for central adjustment of the setting spindle () after reaching a degree of wear of the brake pads (). In one example, the adapter () has a cover () and a chain drive () for to transmitting an actuating movement from the decentral output () to the resetting shaft ().

A brake caliper () for a disc brake has a tensioning side () and a rim side () and bears a brake cylinder flange face (), which, for receiving a brake cylinder, is disposed on the tensioning side (). Two sliding bushes () for an axial displacement of the brake caliper () are disposed on a brake support, and two flange faces () are disposed axially parallel to each other on the tensioning side () between the sliding bushes () for receiving a sensor resetting unit ().

A disk brake includes a wear sensor and an adjusting device having an adjusting element in the form of a pressure screw and/or a pressure sleeve. The adjusting element has a recess in which a reset device extends which is rotationally coupled to the adjusting element for resetting the adjusting device. The wear sensor lies at least partially in the recess.

A monitoring device for a disk brake includes a sensor configured to be attached to a brake caliper of the disk brake; and a measuring element configured to be moved relative to the sensor unit. The sensor is designed to register a relative position of the measuring element. The sensor and the measuring element are spaced from one another for the purpose of forming a contactless monitoring device. The preloading element is arranged between the measuring element and the sensor for preloading the measuring element against a pressure spindle of the disk brake.

A disc brake has a brake disc and a brake caliper spanning the brake disc. A brake applicator shaft is supported on the brake caliper and arranged transversely to an axis of rotation of the brake disc. The brake applicator shaft has a rotary lever for actuating the brake applicator shaft. An adjusting device provided with a thrust spindle having an end face facing away from the brake disc is provided. The brake applicator shaft transmits upon brake application a brake force through the thrust spindle onto the brake disc. A monitoring device is provided that has a measuring element moveable relative to the brake caliper and resting against the end face of the thrust spindle.
