A muffler for an exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine. The muffler has a muffler housing having at least two interconnected housing shells delimiting a muffler interior. Each housing shell has a connecting edge extending away from the muffler interior. The housing shells are mutually connected by material bonding in the region of their mutually adjacent housing shell connecting edges. An insulating arrangement covers at least regions of the inner side of one of the housing shells. The insulating arrangement has an insulating shell with an insulating shell connecting edge extending away from the muffler interior and the insulating shell is arranged with the insulating shell connecting edge between the mutually adjacent connecting edges of the housing shells and is connected by material bonding to the connecting edges of the housing shells in the region of the insulating shell connecting edge.

Muffler

An insert assembly unit for a muffler of an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine includes two walls () arranged at spaced locations from one another. Each of the two walls has a circumferential edge area () configured for fixing at a circumferential wall of a muffler. An exhaust gas flow unit () is arranged between the two walls. The exhaust gas flow unit includes a flow duct area () with an exhaust gas outer flow opening () to be positioned directed towards an opening in a circumferential wall of a muffler, a first mounting duct area () with a first mounting opening () for fixing the exhaust gas flow unit at a first wall of the walls, and a second mounting duct area () with a second mounting opening () for fixing the exhaust gas flow unit at a second wall of the walls.

Insert assembly unit for a muffler of an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine

A mixer assembly unit, especially for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine of a vehicle, includes a mixer body () with an incoming flow side () and with an outgoing flow side (); and a carrier element () with a carrier element body () enclosing the mixer body () radially on an outside in relation to a mixer longitudinal axis. The mixer body () includes a plurality of flow deflection elements () and at least one holding area (). The carrier element () includes a counter holding area () in association with a holding area (). The counter holding area () is connected in substance to the holding area (). The counter holding area () overlaps the holding area () at least partly radially on a side oriented in a direction of the outgoing flow side () of the mixer body ().
