A nonwoven fabric containing a polyvinyl butyral fiber is provided. In particular, continuous fiber nonwoven fabrics, such as a melt-blown nonwoven fabric and a spunbonded nonwoven fabric, are preferred. By laminating a plurality of layers via an adhering layer made of such a nonwoven fabric and then heating, a laminate is obtained by a simple process. In particular, an interior material in which an inorganic fiber layer, a foam layer and a surface material layer are adhered together via the aforementioned type of adhering layers is a desirable embodiment. Crosslinked polyvinyl acetals

The invention relates to methods for producing crosslinked polyvinyl acetals, according to which a polyvinyl alcohol (A1) containing carboxyl groups is crosslinked by (i) reacting the polymer (A1) with at least one polyaldehyde of formula R(CHO), and (ii) at least partly esterifying groups of formula (1) and formula (4a) with each other, said steps being performed in any order. Also disclosed are the crosslinked polyvinyl acetals obtained by means of the inventive method and particularly appropriate areas of application of said polymers. 

The invention relates to high-molecular, crosslinked polyvinyl butyrals, obtainable by (self-) crosslinking polyvinyl butyrals that contain coacetalated, acid-functionalized aldehydes. The invention also relates to a method for producing the same and to the use thereof.
