The invention relates to a valve () for controlling the internal pressure p in a cabin of an aircraft, comprising a first flap () and a second flap (), wherein the flaps () control a pressure-changing fluid flow (L) between the surroundings and the cabin through an opening () of a limiting element () of the cabin. In order to increase the inflow volume of the fluid, according to the invention at least one of the flaps () is adjustable in the inflow position in respect of the opening () in the direction of the surroundings, such that the flow surface of the flap () is increased for the air flow (L). Furthermore according to the invention at least one of the flaps () has a closure device () which reduces an outflow of the fluid that had previously flowed in during an inflow process. According to the invention, a closure-device () is furthermore arranged, wherein said closure device closes a region between the first flap () and the second flap () in the inflow position of the flaps ().

Valve for controlling the internal pressure in a cabin of an aircraft

The invention relates to a valve for controlling a fluid flow from a first environment to a second environment, having a frame for disposing a separating element in the region of an opening, said element separating the first environment from the second environment, and a first flap and a second flap for controlling the fluid flow through the opening between the first environment and the second environment, the flaps being movable in the frame. The flaps have protrusions designed to reduce noise generation in the fluid flow.

Outflow valve for an aircraft

The invention relates to a valve for controlling the internal pressure in a cabin of an aircraft. First and second flaps supported in a frame control a fluid flow between the environment and the cabin through an opening of the valve. The first flap is supported at a distance from a front edge of the frame and the second flap is supported on a rear edge of the frame. A closing device closes an outflow opening () in an inflow position of the flaps, which outflow opening is bounded by the flaps. The closing device is pivotably supported on one of the flaps, and interacts with the locking device in such a way that the closing device closes the outflow opening in the event of a pivoting motion of the flaps.

A valve is provided for controlling a flow of a fluid between a first environment and a second environment. The valve includes a frame adapted to fit within a perimeter of an aperture in a divider separating the first environment from the second environment. The valve additionally includes a first gate movable within the frame to control a flow of the fluid through the aperture between the first environment and the second environment. The first gate includes a substantially aerodynamically clean surface substantially free from protrusions disrupting the flow of the fluid over the first gate surface. Additionally, the first gate includes a trailing edge having a baffle adapted to cover an aft edge of the frame when the first gate is positioned to have a small opening angle. The baffle includes a plurality of 3-D notches in a front side of the baffle. The valve further includes a second gate movable within the frame to control a flow of the fluid through the aperture between the first environment and the second environment. The second gate also includes a substantially aerodynamically clean surface substantially free from protrusions disrupting the flow of the fluid over the second gate surface. Additionally, the second gate includes a trailing edge comprising a plurality of 3-D notches in a front side of the trailing edge.

Fluid control valve

Disclosed is a differential valve specifically a cabin air discharge valve for use in the cabin pressure regulating system of an airplane. The valve has two valve stages for closing a valve port including a smaller first stage and a larger second stage. The first and second stages are connected to a common drive gear mechanism that actuates the smaller first valve stage separately and prior to actuating the larger second valve stage. Also disclosed is a method for regulating cabin pressure by means of the differential valve.
