A method is provided by a central-unit-control plane (CU-CP) of a network node for exchanging information with a central-unit user plane (CU-UP) of the network node to manage Quality of Service (QoS) flows for the optimization of radio resources. The method includes transmitting, to the CU-UP, a request for flow information for at least one QoS flow and receiving, from the CU-UP of the network node, the flow information for the at least one QoS flow. Based on the flow information for the at least one QoS flow, at least one action is taken.

A method for transmission control in a multi-connectivity communication system comprises obtaining (S) of an indication of decreased data rate through a first transmitting node of a multi-connectivity communication system. At least a subset of packets, originally scheduled for, and buffered in, the first transmitting node is rescheduled (S) to at least one second transmitting node, different from the first transmitting node, of the multi-connectivity communication system, in response to the obtaining of the indication. Method and arrangement for flow control in a split path communication system

A method performed by a user device having a multiple connectivity configuration with a plurality of radio links to a plurality of network nodes in a radio communication network is provided. The user device can determine a change occurred in an amount of uplink data available for transmission in a first uplink buffer of the user device on a first radio link of a plurality of radio link to first network node. Responsive to the change, the user device can trigger a buffer status report for transmission to a second network node of the plurality of network nodes on a second radio link of the plurality of radio links for which a change in an amount of uplink data available for transmission in a second uplink buffer was not determined. A method performed by a first network node includes generating a data volume report based on one or more characteristics associated with data communicated between the first network node and a user equipment. The one or more characteristics identify that the data volume report is to be generated on at least one of a per Data Radio Bearer basis and a per Quality of Service basis. The number of PDCP PDUs is taken from a first set of PDCP PDUs comprising one or more first time transmitted PDCP PDUs and from a second set of PDCP PDUs comprising one or more retransmitted PDCP PDUs. A split radio access architecture comprises a packet processing node and one or more baseband processing nodes. The packet processing node receives, from a baseband processing node, first feedback corresponding to air interface congestion between the baseband processing node and a wireless device receiving packets from the baseband processing node. The packet processing node also receives, from the baseband processing node, second feedback corresponding to transport network congestion of a transport interface between the packet processing node and the baseband processing node. The packet processing node transmits user data to the baseband processing node based on the received first and second feedback.

A method performed by a first unit for handling a connection between the first unit and multiple second units in a wireless communications network is provided. The first unit obtains from each of the multiple second units a respective indication of which one or more version of NR User plane protocol (NR-U) it supports. In one aspect, one or more network nodes are configured to manage bitrates for dedicated radio bearers (DRBs) for a UE served by two or more distributed transmission units, where the DRBs include at least one DRB terminating at a first control unit and at least one DRB terminating at a second control unit. The network nodes determine at least a first UL AMBR value for the UE for the first control unit and at least a second UL AMBR value for the UE for the second control unit. The overlay of two flow control techniques independently controls the data rate and transmission window size to control congestion in a split radio access architecture comprising a packet processing node () that provides user data to one or more baseband processing nodes (). In particular, the packet processing node () determines a data rate for providing the user data to a baseband processing node () responsive to air interface feedback received from the baseband processing node (), and determines a transmission window size for providing user data to the baseband processing node () responsive to transport network congestion feedback received from the baseband processing node (). In so doing, the solution presented herein achieves a high data throughput while also being Internet/TCP compatible.
