A vehicle component for a vehicle has a component body which extends longitudinally in a longitudinal direction, wherein the component body has deformation zones which are spatially distributed in the longitudinal direction and are formed in the component body of sheet metal material. At least two locally distributed and spaced-apart deformation zones have different tensile strengths configured to influence a deformation course of the component body upon a force acting on the component body.

Motor vehicle component

A method for producing a structural and/or safety-related motor vehicle component having at least one hot-formed and press-hardened part constructed from high-strength steel includes the steps of partially heat-treating a region of the motor vehicle component by heating the region to a heat-up temperature in a temperature range between 500&#xb0; C. and 900&#xb0; C.; maintaining the heat-up temperature for a duration of a holding time; and cooling down from the heat-up temperature in one or more phases. A body component constructed as a structural and/or safety-related motor vehicle component from a steel sheet blank that has been hot-formed and press-hardened includes joining flanges and/or coupling locations and/or safety-related parts, wherein the joining flanges, coupling locations and/or safety-related parts are partially heat-treated in several steps with the disclosed method.

Method for producing a motor vehicle component, and a body component

The present invention relates to a longitudinal beam for a motor vehicle, having a body, of hollow cross section and extending in the longitudinal direction, with a front connection for a cross-member and a rear connection to a motor vehicle body, said longitudinal beam being characterized in that the longitudinal beam is produced from a multi-layer steel having a homogeneous wall thickness as a hot-formed and press-hardened component and has at least one reinforcement patch, wherein the multi-layer steel has a central layer and at least one outer layer made of a ferritic stainless steel alloy.

A motor vehicle door and a method for producing the motor vehicle door is disclosed having a frame plate coupled to reinforcement components and at least half of all of the reinforcement components are produced as extruded profiles which are subsequently press-formed three-dimensionally. The extruded profiles have different wall thicknesses.
