The invention relates to a tube for a surgical microscope. The tube has a base part, an intermediate part, which is pivotable about a rotational axis on the base part, and an ocular part which is pivotable about a rotational axis on the intermediate part. The imaging beam path is guided through the base part, the intermediate part and the pivotable ocular part. The tube has a tube lens system which transfers a parallel imaging beam paths into an intermediate image. The parallel imaging beam path enters via an opening in a connecting piece of the base part. The tube has a first displaceable mirror element which can be moved about the rotational axis on the base part. The tube lens system is a telesystem which has a lens unit having positive refractive power and a lens unit having negative refractive power.

Tube for a surgical microscope

A tube of a surgical microscope has a base part, intermediate part pivotable about a rotational axis on the base part, and an ocular part pivotable about a rotational axis on the intermediate part. The imaging beam path is guided through the base part, intermediate part and pivotable ocular part. The tube has a tube lens system which transfers a parallel imaging beam path into an intermediate image. The parallel imaging beam path enters via an opening in a connecting piece of the base part. The tube has a first displaceable mirror element movable about the rotational axis on the base part. The tube has a further displaceable mirror element movable on the intermediate part about the rotational axis. The first mirror element directs the imaging beam path to the further mirror element. The first mirror element and further mirror element are mounted in the imaging beam path between a lens unit having positive refractive power and a lens unit having negative refractive power.

A surgical microscope has an illuminating arrangement for illuminating light in an operating region to be examined with the surgical microscope. The arrangement contains a high-power light source which includes an intensity adjusting device. The device makes possible an adjustment of the intensity of the illuminating light, which is guided to the object region, between a maximum value and a minimum value. The microscope has a control unit for the illuminating arrangement which includes an operator-controlled module via which the illuminating arrangement can be activated and controlled. For adjusting the intensity of the illuminating light guided to the operating region, the control unit coacts with the adjustable filter unit. A signal generator outputs a warning signal when an intensity of the illuminating light is adjusted via the operator-controlled module which exceeds the safety limit value stored in a memory.

Surgical microscope for use in surgical procedures including neurosurgery

A surgical microscope () is especially suited for use in neurosurgery. The surgical microscope has an illuminating arrangement () for making available illuminating light in an operating region () to be examined with the surgical microscope (). The illuminating arrangement () contains a high-power light source () which includes an intensity adjusting device (). The intensity adjusting device () makes possible to adjust the intensity of the illuminating light (), which is guided to the object region (), between a maximum value and a minimum value. The surgical microscope () has a control unit () for the illuminating arrangement () which includes an operator-controlled module () via which the illuminating arrangement () can be activated and controlled. Surgical microscope having an illuminating arrangement

A microscopy system allows to superimpose a light optically generated microscopic image of an object with an electronically generated image. The electronically generated image is composed of two input images, one of which is independent of optical settings of an ocular tube, such as a rotational position and a magnification thereof, and the other input image is dependent of the optical setting.

An operating menu is provided for display with a touch-sensitive display screen () in a surgical microscope (). An image sensor and a circuitry associated with the image sensor is used for recording a series of fluorescence images. The image sensor comprises a plurality of pixels for accumulating charges generated by incident radiation, and the circuitry converts the charges accumulated in the pixels into binary numbers. A gain of the circuitry is adjustable. The gain is set to a suitable maximum value at the beginning of a recording procedure. The gain is reduced if it is determined during the recording procedure that one or more brightness values of the recorded image exceed a suitably chosen maximum brightness value.
