An operating microscope including an optical unit for forming an image of an object plane in oculars of the microscope, an optoelectronic image receiver coupled to the microscope and optics to form images, of objects placed in a region between a front objective of the microscope and an object plane of the microscope, on the optoelectronic image receiver. The microscope has a magnification factor of the optics to form images, and a system to detect optical markings forming a markings pattern placed on a surgical instrument or an object placed in the region between the front objective of the microscope and the object plane of the microscope. The system calculates a geometrical position and orientation of the markings pattern in relation to the optoelectronic image receiver, relative to the microscope.

Method and instrument for surgical navigation

The invention relates to a method for positional optimization in navigation, in particular neural navigation in surgery with an operation microscope and at least one optoelectronic image detector which may be connected to the microscope and also a computer system. The data obtained from the at least one image detector which lie in the microscope field-of-view for the operator, contain information on the position of an operation instrument, in particular the instrument tip. The actual position of the instrument in the x- and y-direction as well as in the z-direction of a three-dimensional coordinate system is continuously or intermittently determined from the relevant positional data. A separation determination is carried out for the positional determination in the z-direction by means of depth of focus evaluation and/or stereoscopic image analysis. The invention further relates to a navigation instrument, using marking, close to the instrument tip, lying within the field of view of the microscope during use thereof.

The microsurgical microscope system with a stand and with a parallelogram linkage is characterized in that a bar, which connects two substantially horizontal bars and to which the microscope is connected, also has a receiving device connected to it for accessory parts of the microscope and/or additional weights.

The microsurgical microscope system with a stand with three parallelogram linkages and a microscope arranged thereon is characterized in that a second parallelogram linkage and a third parallelogram linkage have a common bar inclined at an angle of approximately 30&deg; to 60&deg; to the vertical.

The endomicroscope system includes an operation microscope and a flexible image transmission system and is distinguished by the fact that the flexible image transmission system ends in an imaging device (,), which is arranged between the objective lens (,) and the object plane of the operation microscope (,) and can be removed from the beam path.

Endomicroscope system

The disposable container comprising a lid can be firstly provisionally and secondly finally sealed by means of two different fasteners or closure means, and the final closure means cannot be opened again without destruction of said means. The provisional closure means (14) suitable for repeated use in formed such that on closure a sealing is provided by compression of a seal provided on the container outer side between the container border and the lid and consisting of a sealing ring and an encircling counter face (11).

Disposable container

A tested person blows into an alcohol-breath measuring device through the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece must be kept under hygienic conditions and must be disposable, thus designed for single use by a tested person. The mouthpiece is an integral part injection molded of polypropylene, having a mouth portion, and a portion connecting to the measuring device and extending through the bottom of the mouth portion into the interior thereof. The tested person takes the mouthpiece between his lips and exhales through the connecting portion into the device. A limiting flange on the outside of the mouth portion limits the penetration thereof in the mouth and keeps saliva from the surface intended for holding. The mouthpiece may accommodate a check valve. A valve insert received in the mouth portion holds a valve plate which under the blow, elastically disengages from apertures in the bottom of the insert and applies against these apertures again as soon as the blowing ceases or the tested person inhales.

Mouthpiece for a breath-alcohol measuring device

An optical multi-beam gas measuring apparatus is intended for detecting specific content in a gas of extraneous gases which absorb the same wavelength of the measuring radiation. The apparatus comprises a source of radiation and a gas vessel through which the gas mixture to be measured is conducted and the radiation is detected. The radiation directed through the vessel is picked up by an exchangeable detecting unit which contains a prism for splitting radiation which has passed through the gas mixture into several partial beams corresponding to the number of gas components to be measured. A prism is selected for this purpose and it is used in association with optical filters arranged in the path of the beams in conjunction with detectors which are electronically arranged for detecting the selected gases and measuring the value thereof.

Optical multi-beam gas measuring apparatus

A calibrating gas generator comprises two series connected solution tanks filled with an aqueous ethanol solution which are connected together so that a pump may direct air so that it successively bubbles through the ethanol solution in each tank and exit through a test nozzle connected to the last tank. Means are provided for maintaining a temperature in the first tank of 37.degree. C. and in the second solution tank of 34.degree. C. In accordance with the method of the invention, the testing reliability of the calibrating gas is extended by directing a gas such as air so that it successively bubbles through ethanol solutions in first and second tanks and by maintaining the solution in the first tank at 37.degree. C. and the solution in the second tank at 34.degree. C.
