A composition for thermal storage includes at least one phosphor compound and water. At least part of the phosphor compound is an oligomer. The composition can be used in a hardened material thereof, a thermal storage device, a method for storing thermal energy, and a method for obtaining the aforementioned composition solid core particles.

Thermal storage with phosphorus compounds

A composition containing transparent thermoplastic polymers and a surface modified oxide particles is disclosed. The size of the particles is less than 200 nm and the composition is suitable for the preparation of products wherever diathermancy is undesirable.

IR absorbing compositions

A method for producing nanoscale titanium dioxide particles which are coated with an oxide, a hydroxide or an oxide hydroxide of Al, Ce, Zr and/or Si wherein the enzymatic precipitant system urease/urea is used. Said coated titanium dioxide particles can have an average size of less than 50 nm, the coating providing effective protection against photocatalytic reactions. The coated particles are suitable, in particular, as UV absorbers in a transparent organic matrix.

The present invention provides compositions containing transparent thermoplastic polymer, surface-modified oxide particles with a particle size of less than 200 nm, and organic NIR absorbers. The compositions of the present invention may find use in reducing diathermancy in sheets, films, glazing systems and roofing systems which may be incorporated into automobiles and buildings.
