A bearing assembly includes: a shaft; a housing; a support structure; at least one first seal; at least one electrode connected to the support structure and arranged between the support structure and the shaft such that an oil vapor from the oil bath, which passes through the at least one first seal, must pass through a gap between the at least one electrode and the shaft in order to escape, the bearing assembly being configured for an electrical voltage to be applied between the at least one electrode and the shaft so as to direct oil particles contained in the oil vapor onto the at least one electrode such that the oil particles are separated at the at least one electrode; and a drainage channel configured for enabling oil separated at the at least one electrode to flow through the drainage channel into the oil bath.

Bearing assembly

A guide vane bearing for a hydraulic machine is provided, which may be serviced from the side of the water flow path, and a method for installing and removing a bearing of this type. The guide vane bearing includes a bearing support and a layer of bearing material and at least three segments, which are separately connectable to the bottom ring of the hydraulic machine, each segment including one part of the bearing support and one part of the layer of bearing material, and a joint between the segments being obliquely formed with respect to the bearing axis, so that one segment has a wedge shape, and the bearing furthermore including a bearing seal, and the bearing seal being rotatably fixedly connected to the trunnion of the guide vane, and the bearing support including a surface, which is designed as a running surface for the lip of the bearing seal.

Guide vane bearing and maintenance method

A flange sealing system includes two bodies that each have a respective flat surface and are interconnected so that the surfaces face one another. At least one of the bodies has a groove with parallel side walls recessed into the flat surface. An elastic profile with an H-shaped cross-section is arranged in the groove in such a way that at least a part of the vertical regions of the elastic profile is arranged parallel to the side walls of the groove. In at least one portion of the space between the vertical regions of the elastic profile, a cured liquid is arranged in such a way that the profile is adhesively connected to the groove in the region of the base surface of the groove. The cured liquid is elastic.
