An elevator system includes a car which can move in an elevator shaft and has a car roof which has a walkable region. A safety element is arranged in the region of a roof edge of the car roof for reducing the gap between the elevator shaft wall and the car in order to protect people from falling into the elevator shaft. The safety element has a toe board section for creating a toe protection and for laterally bordering the walkable region, wherein the toe board section is arranged such that it is inwardly offset in relation to an outer edge of the safety element and in relation to the roof edge by a safety distance.

Safety element of an elevator system

An elevator with belt-sheaves and at least one flat belt to suspend and move an elevator car. For the purpose of guiding the flat belt on the belt-sheaves, the belt has at least one guide groove in which at least one guide rib projecting from the sheave running surface of the belt-sheave engages.

Elevator with flat belt as suspension means

A method of checking elevator installations with a car, an elevator drive and an elevator controller with a memory avoids or at least reduces errors by a person carrying out the check and enables convenient and reliable checking of the elevator installation. A check program including all steps necessary for the check is set up on the basis of stored configuration data of the elevator installation in the elevator controller and in dependence on a selected mode of operation. In addition, the steps are displayed in a predetennined sequence on an indicating and control unit and necessary inputs for working down the steps are input by way of the indicating and control unit.

Method of and apparatus for operating an elevator installation in a commissioning operation mode and an acceptance check mode

A sound-damping and/or vibration-damping fastening element for elevator guide rails includes an anchor rail connected by a damping medium with a support rail. The anchor rail supports the elevator guide rail and is partially embedded in the damping medium. The anchor rail extends parallel to the longitudinal extent of the support rail and the anchor rail and the support rail are spaced apart by at least one slot filled by the damping medium.

Fastening element for elevator guide rails

An elevator shaft door frame incorporates a control arrangement for an elevator installation including a control unit. The control unit is fixed in a chamber of a frame element of the door frame. The chamber communicates with an outside opening in the door frame, which opens at a floor, and is closed with a cover. The cover can be moved from the closed position by demounting to a service position in which access to the chamber is free. In addition, the door frame has an inside opening to the chamber which is accessible from the elevator shaft.
