A lunar phase display device including an annular cover including four ring portions, two successive ring portions being separated by a convex lobe projecting radially towards the inside of the annular cover; a moon indicator disc, a drive device arranged to move the moon indicator disc so that the disc makes a cycloidal trajectory between two successive lobes, the moon indicator disc being at least partially occulted by each of the two lobes during one portion of the cycloidal trajectory so as to reproduce the phases of the moon during a lunar month.

Lunar phase display device

A calendar mechanism including date-discs, a date program unit, a drive unit that drives the date program unit and a drive member for actuating the drive unit. The date-discs include a first lower units disc and a second upper units disc, and a third lower tens disc and a fourth upper tens disc. The date program unit includes date program wheel sets for actuating the date-discs and arranged to mesh selectively with the date-discs so that the last day of the month is displayed with the third lower tens disc and the first upper units disc, and the first day of the following month is displayed with the fourth upper tens disc and the second upper units disc, the change of date between two consecutive months occurring via a single jump of the fourth upper tens disc and of the second upper units disc, regardless of the month. The mechanism may include a month wheel set and a leap-year adjustment mechanism arranged to cooperate with the drive unit, the drive unit being a month program wheel.

Calendar mechanism

The character display mechanism for a timepiece includes a first indicator member disposed underneath a mask and arranged to rotate in steps about an axis, the first indicator member bearing a series of intertwined figures distributed over a circular track, the mask including a display area having a plurality of first openings, the figures being intended to appear successively through the first openings during the rotation of the first indicator member, and the first openings being disposed such that only one figure at a time appears in the display area. The first indicator member is pierced with second openings, said second openings being arranged to stop directly underneath one of said first openings during the step-by-step rotation of the first indicator member. The display mechanism includes a second indicator member at least partially superposed on the first indicator member in the display area. The second indicator member bears a pattern comprising segments.

Character display mechanism for a timepiece

The invention concerns a grand date display device that can change from displaying the last day of the month to displaying the first day of the following month by means of a single step of the first and of the second upper plates. This feature avoids the requirement for a correction at the end of months of less than 31 days.
