A method for detecting a distortion of a light pattern defining a code word includes projecting a light pattern onto an object via a light source and detecting the projected light pattern and comparing the detected light pattern with a reference light pattern. The reference light pattern has individual, spaced-apart light pattern elements arranged in a plurality of successive columns in the direction of a first extension axis and the number and/or position of the at least one light pattern element in each column of the reference light pattern is an encoding feature that defines at least one code word. The distortion of the detected light pattern with respect to the reference light pattern is determined by comparing distances between the light pattern elements of the detected light pattern with distances between the light pattern elements of the reference light pattern.

An air conduction element for reducing the air resistance of a load-carrying vehicle having a load space structure. The air conduction element can be externally mounted in the rear region of the load space structure and includes an air conduction duct with a front air inlet opening and a rear air outlet opening, front and rear being in relation to the direction of travel (x). The air inlet opening overlaps the load space structure in the direction of travel (x) and the air outlet opening is arranged behind the load space structure within the cross-sectional contour thereof. The air conduction element has a cover which delimits the air conduction duct. It was therefore the aim to devise an air conduction element which does not increase the dimensions of the load space structure when the vehicle is driving slowly or is at a standstill. For this purpose, the cover is produced from a flexible flat material.

An air guiding element for improved flow over a gap between a tractive vehicle and a trailer vehicle is described, wherein the air guiding element can be mounted on the tractive vehicle or the trailer vehicle and has a flexible and airtight air cushion which is connected to a filling channel. The problem of providing a largely low-maintenance and operationally safe air guiding element, which can be installed independently of the compressed air supply of the tractive vehicle, for improved flow over the gap between a tractive vehicle and a trailer vehicle is addressed. The problem is solved by an air guiding element in which the filling channel has an air entry opening oriented in the direction of travel (F) on the side of the filling channel facing away from the air cushion, the air entry opening being arranged in such a way that the air cushion is filled exclusively by a dynamic pressure of the relative wind.

A system is specified for the automatic adjustment of a gap between a tractor vehicle and an attached trailer, with a length-adjustable hitch with a tension tube, at the end of which is arranged a tension lug, while the tension lug can travel in the vehicle's lengthwise axis relative to the tension tube by an actuator along a predetermined travel path, as well as a control unit. The basic problem of the invention was to provide a system with which the gap between tractor vehicle and trailer can be changed automatically in driving operation and depending on the speed, both for articulated and unarticulated trailers. The problem is solved according to the invention with a system in which the control unit is an electronic controller, which is hooked up to a speed pickup for the processing of a speed signal and connected to the actuator.

A slider for a fifth wheel is arranged on a towing vehicle, comprising a substructure with at least two guide rails aligned in the direction of travel, a displaceable slide carrying the fifth wheel and acting upon the guide rails, and a motor-driven drive unit. A slider is provided which allows the gap width between the towing vehicle and the trailer being adapted to the respective driving situation during travel. For this purpose, the slider is characterized in that the motor-driven drive unit is configured from a hydraulic cylinder connected to a hydraulic circuit.

A coupling system for connecting supply lines between a trailer and a tractor vehicle, with a socket which is arranged on the tractor vehicle and a support element, having a plug, which is arranged on the trailer. The invention is based on the problem of providing a robustly operating coupling system in which an automatic connection of all of the provided supply lines is possible. The problem is solved by a coupling system in which the socket is arranged in a positionally fixed manner on the tractor vehicle, the plug is guided in a laterally moveable manner in the support element, and the plug can be placed into a connecting position with the socket by an actuator which is arranged on the tractor vehicle.

The invention relates, inter alia, to a connector bracket for a semitrailer of a semitrailer truck. Said connector bracket comprises a support element which can be swiveled about a bearing and a connector arranged inside the support element, the support element having a casing frame with a section that is complementary to an insertion opening of a fifth wheel. The aim of the invention is to provide a connector bracket or a plug-in coupling which is highly reliable even under adverse external conditions. This aim is achieved, inter alia, by the connector bracket according to the invention, wherein the casing frame can be displaced in relation to the connector by contact with the insertion opening, thereby displacing the connector from a closed standby position to an open coupling position.

Disclosed is a plug-in coupling system for joining cables between a tractor and a trailer. The invention also relates to the individual components, i.e. the semitrailer coupling and the plug-in connector on which the invention is implemented. The cables between the tractor and the trailer are usually plugged into each other by hand. Automatic systems have not been successful on the market so far. The aim of the invention is therefore to create a plug-in coupling system which allows the supply cables to be connected in a comfortable and operationally safe manner when the trailer is joined to and disconnected from the tractor. Said aim is achieved, among other things, by disposing the socket in a stationary manner below the insertion hole on the semitrailer coupling while arranging the contact points of the plug below the king pin on the plug-in connector.

Plug-in connections

An arrangement of a motor on twin landing gears is described. The landing gears are interconnected via a connecting shaft and can be telescoped by starting up the motor. To minimize damage to the motor and at the same time to ensure cost-effective production, it is provided that the motor with its driveshaft engages with the connecting shaft and is supported on a component that is fixed relative to the motor.
