An aircraft seat may include a seat back coupled to a shell of one or more passenger compartment shell sections of a passenger compartment installed within an aircraft cabin. The aircraft seat may include a seat pan coupled to a floor of the aircraft cabin proximate to an ottoman installed within the passenger compartment. The seat back may be in contact with a surface of the seat pan when the aircraft seat is in a first position. The seat back may be separated from the surface of the seat pan when the aircraft seat is in a second position. The seat back may be configured to move independently of the seat pan when the aircraft seat transitions between the first position and the second position.

A passenger suite seating unit is disclosed. In embodiments, the passenger suite seating unit includes a first set of one or more passenger suites and a second set of one or more passenger suites. The passenger suite seating unit may further include a first privacy shell element defining at least a portion of a first side of the passenger suite seating unit, and a second privacy shell element defining at least a portion of a second side of the passenger suite seating unit. The passenger suite seating unit may further include a privacy bridge assembly including a bridge structure extending from the first privacy shell element to the second privacy shell element, and a partition wall coupled to the bridge structure, the partition wall configured to at least partially separate the first set of one or more passenger suites and the second set of one or more passenger seats.

An occupant support device (OSD) for a seat, comprises a flexible membrane having a first end and a second end. The flexible membrane is coupleable to a seat proximate the first end and the second end of the flexible membrane. The OSD further comprises at least one stiffening member for stiffening the flexible membrane. The at least one stiffening member is positionable so that the flexible membrane is generally stiffer in a longitudinal direction than in a transverse direction. A seat comprising the OSD, an array of seats comprising the OSD and an aircraft comprising the OSD are also provided.

Occupant support device for a seat

Apparatus and associated methods relate to an adjustable passenger seat headrest which includes articulating side wings, provides a more acute angle of support, and fits the width of a standard economy seat when stowed. In some embodiments, fabric may be stretched across the extreme ends of the wings to a center headrest, forming a hammock in which a passenger may rest their head. In an illustrative example, passengers may be provided with improved head support and comfort by employment of a mechanism that enables the side wings of the headrest to be articulated further apart, and/or extend out further from the back of the seat. These features may offer a more acute angle of passenger head support.

In an illustrative embodiment, a tray table for mounting to a lower seatback region of an aircraft passenger seat includes a tray table support bracket stowable to a position approximately parallel with the lower seatback region, and pivotably deployable to provide access to a tray table slideably coupled to the support bracket and configured to provide a substantially horizontal work surface when in a deployed state. In the stowed position, the tray table may be substantially positioned below a tray table deployment height such that additional clearance is provided on the seatback above the tray table for one or more accessory items such as a larger monitor in portrait orientation.

An aircraft passenger seat having a seat bottom movable between a stationary position for taxi, take-off and landing and a movable position during flight in which at least one of a leading edge and a trailing edge of the seat bottom deflects downward in response to a downward load applied thereto.

A seat headrest is provided that includes a mounting plate for attachment to a seat back of the seat. First and second side wings are mounted on opposite ends of the mounting plate. The side wings are mounted for pivotal movement between a retracted position against the mounting plate and a deployed position extending outwardly away from the mounting plate, and for sliding movement between the retracted position against the mounting plate and a further deployed position extending outwardly away from the mounting plate.

A premium class passenger suite that includes a main seat positioned in the suite together with separate bed. The bed has a flexible mattress of predetermined dimensions and is movable between a stowed position to one side of the main seat and a deployed position above and separate from the main seat. A drive apparatus is provided for driving the bed between the stowed and deployed positions. The main seat is configured to be movable between a seating position when the bed is stowed, and a stowed position with a lowered seat back when the bed is deployed for use.

An aircraft passenger seat comprises a primary seat () having a seat back () and a seat pan (), and a secondary support surface () located or locatable opposite the primary, seat (), the passenger seat being able to adopt each of an upright configuration, a reclined configuration and a substantially flat configuration, such that in the reclined configuration, the primary seat () is reclined relative to the upright configuration and the secondary support surface () is angled upwardly towards the primary seat () so as to support the lower leg(s) of a passenger seated in the primary seat (); and in the substantially flat configuration, the secondary support surface () is substantially horizontal and the seat back (), the seat pan () and the secondary support surface () form a substantially flat and continuous surface wherein the secondary support surface () is rotatable about an axis between the reclined and substantially flat configurations, said axis being translated between the reclined and substantially flat configurations.

A transportation passenger suite, including first and second spaced-apart end walls that define an at least partial enclosure adapted to be positioned along a longitudinal axis of a passenger cabin. A first seating assembly is positioned in the enclosure adjacent the first end wall of the passenger suite and facing in a first direction. A second seating assembly is positioned in the enclosure adjacent the second end wall of the passenger suite and faces in a second direction generally perpendicular to the first direction. A first table is positioned in the enclosure for use by an occupant seated in the first seating assembly, and a second table is positioned in the enclosure for use by an occupant seated in the second seating assembly.

An aircraft passenger seating arrangement comprises a seat having a seat pan and a seat back, the seat being able to adopt a first, substantially upright sitting position and a second, sleeping position in which the seat back and seat pan are substantially horizontal, the arrangement further including a side surface arranged to form part of a substantially flat, horizontal sleeping surface alongside the seat.
