A device and a method for moving an object in a vertical direction are disclosed. The device includes a plurality of piezo-actuators expanding in directions upon activation and in doing so generating pressure forces on an active side, and a hydraulic transmission device that converts the pressure forces of the piezo-actuators into a vertical pressure force for moving the object opposite the direction of gravity and transmits the pressure force with a transmission ratio. The object is lifted after the vertical pressure force has exceeded an oppositely acting spring force of a spring system.

The invention relates to a gripper for handling frames () that are covered with a film () that is intended for the transport of wafers (). The gripper comprises at least two flat fingers () that carry flattened finger tips (). This construction allows to insert the gripper between two frames () that are mounted in a cassette () without complication. The fingers () support in subsections both the frame () and the film (). The film is attached to the frame due to the suction effect exerted by vacuum openings () configured on the frame, thereby fixating the film on the gripper.

A method and a device for reconstructing data, clocked at a symbol rate, from a signal which has been distorted by transmission of a transmission link, are disclosed. The method or respectively, the device, being predominantly performed or implemented, respectively, by means of digital circuit technology in order to improve the quality of the data recovery. The method includes amplifying the signal amplitude attenuated by the transmission; filtering high-frequency interference frequencies above the symbol rate; discretizing the analog signal by means of an analog/digital converter; performing a cable approximation by means of a digitally implemented cable approximation filter in order to obtain an equalized signal; and recovering the data from the equalized signal by means of a phase-locked loop.

The invention provides a method for recovering a digital datastream, in which a reference clock phase is recovered from the digital datastream, the digital datastream being received in a datastream receiver, low-pass filtered in a low-pass filter device, an edge position signal being determined by comparing an amplitude of the low-pass filtered datastream with a predetermined threshold value in an edge position detection device and a phase deviation being determined from a time difference between a 0/1 threshold intersection point of the threshold value with a 0/1 data transition or a &#x2212;1/1 threshold intersection point of the threshold value with a &#x2212;1/1 data transmission and the target time of the control system in a phase correction device, so that the phase deviation can be corrected with the phase correction offset in the phase correction device.

Method for determining a reference clock phase from band-limited digital data streams

A monolithically integrated microcomputer clocked at a processor clock rate includes a clock generator in the form of an RC oscillator being synchronizable by external signals for controlling at least one functional unit operating asynchronously with the processor clock rate. The RC oscillator has a frequency-determining resistor and a frequency-determining capacitor being monolithically integrated. The frequency-determining capacitor is formed of a plurality of switchable capacitors to be interconnected to make a total capacitor with a variable size. Registers are each connected to a respective one of the capacitors for defining a switching state of the switchable capacitors. A central processing unit is connected to the registers for adjusting the frequency of the clock generator by setting the registers.
