A vehicular control system includes a plurality of cameras disposed at an equipped vehicle. As the equipped vehicle travels forward along a traffic lane of a multi-lane highway, the system, responsive at least in part to processing of image data captured by a forward-viewing camera, detects a leading vehicle traveling forward in the traffic lane that the equipped vehicle is traveling along. The system, responsive at least in part to processing of image data captured by a left-side camera or a right-side camera, detects another vehicle traveling forward in another traffic lane of the multi-lane highway that is adjacent to the traffic lane along which the equipped vehicle is traveling. With the equipped vehicle operating in accordance with SAE Level 3, the system controls the equipped vehicle without driver intervention to maneuver into the other traffic lane ahead of the detected other vehicle to pass the detected leading vehicle.

Vehicular control system with passing control function

A vehicular control system includes a plurality of sensors disposed at a vehicle and sensing exterior of the vehicle. An electronic control unit (ECU) includes a processor that processes sensor data captured by the sensors. The vehicular control system, responsive at least in part to processing at the ECU of captured sensor data as the vehicle travels in a traffic lane of a road, detects another vehicle that is rearward of the equipped vehicle and traveling along an adjacent traffic lane. The vehicular control system detects a leading vehicle ahead of the equipped vehicle and traveling in the same traffic lane as the equipped vehicle. The vehicular control system, responsive to determination of a space along the other traffic lane ahead of the detected other vehicle, controls the equipped vehicle to maneuver into the adjacent traffic lane to pass the detected leading vehicle ahead of the detected other vehicle.

Vehicular control system with rear collision mitigation

A vehicular vision system includes a plurality of cameras disposed at a vehicle and having respective exterior fields of view, and a display screen for displaying images derived from captured image data in a surround view format where captured image data is merged to provide a single composite display image from a virtual viewing position. A control includes a processor that processes image data captured by the cameras to detect an object present in the field of view of at least one of the cameras. During a driving maneuver of the vehicle, the display screen displays surround view video images and responsive to detection of the object, the display screen displays an enlarged view of the detected object.

Vehicular vision system with split display

A vehicular control system includes a plurality of sensors disposed at a vehicle and sensing exterior of the vehicle. An electronic control unit (ECU) includes a processor that processes sensor data captured by the sensors. The ECU, responsive at least in part to processing of captured sensor data as the vehicle travels in a traffic lane of a multi-lane road, determines a rearward approaching vehicle rearward of the equipped vehicle that is in an adjacent traffic lane. The ECU determines a leading vehicle ahead of the equipped vehicle and traveling in the same traffic lane as the equipped vehicle. The ECU controls the equipped vehicle to accelerate the vehicle to at least match the speed of the determined rearward approaching vehicle and to maneuver into the adjacent traffic lane to pass the determined leading vehicle ahead of the determined rearward approaching vehicle.

A vehicular control system for a vehicle includes a plurality of sensors disposed at the vehicle and having respective fields of sensing exterior of the vehicle. A control includes a processor that is operable to process sensor data captured by the sensors. The control, responsive at least in part to processing of sensor data captured by the sensors, determines a rearward approaching vehicle rearward of the equipped vehicle and traveling at a speed greater than the equipped vehicle. The control determines a speed of the equipped vehicle and the control determines a speed of the determined rearward approaching vehicle. At least in part responsive to determination of the rearward approaching vehicle, the control controls the equipped vehicle to accelerate the equipped vehicle to at least the determined speed of the determined rearward approaching vehicle.
