A method for connecting a subsea well to a subsea pipeline. The method includes providing a subsea pipeline with a connection station. The connection station has a connector for connecting a fluid conduit to the connector, and a fluid port in a fluid communication with an interior of the subsea pipeline. The method further includes drilling a borehole adjacent to the connection station, locating a wellhead support adjacent to the connection station, connecting the wellhead support to the subsea pipeline, mounting a wellhead on the wellhead support, aligning the wellhead with the borehole to establish a subsea well, mounting a connection module on the wellhead support or on the wellhead, and fluidly connecting the subsea well to the fluid port in the connection station via the connection module.

Method for connecting a subsea well to a subsea pipeline

An assembly includes two tubular elements, a primary and a secondary seal arranged between the two tubular elements, a seal cavity formed between the two tubular elements and the primary and the secondary seal, and a seal monitoring apparatus having a housing and a position sensor. The housing has a chamber enclosing a separator which divides the chamber into a first and a second sub-chamber. The first sub-chamber is fluidly connected to the seal cavity and is filled with a hydraulic fluid. The separator is movable in a first direction relative to the housing to increase a volume of the first sub-chamber and decrease a volume of the second sub-chamber, and in a second direction to decrease the volume of the first sub-chamber and increase the volume of the second sub-chamber. The position sensor generates an electrical signal which represents a position of the separator relative to the housing.

Apparatus for and method of monitoring a drilling installation

A system for subsea pumping or compressing includes an ESP (electrical submersible pump), a flowline jumper, a connector part in either end of the flowline jumper, and a truss structure or longitudinal rib-arrangement that acts as a stiffening arrangement. The ESP may be arranged in the flowline jumper which may be orientated in a substantially horizontal direction. The stiffening arrangement may function to ensure that the ESP shaft is straight at all times during lifting, installation and operation. The system may also include a load limiting arrangement for limiting or eliminating the load on structure and seabed supporting the system.
