Face mask for sport helmet

Sport eyeglasses having removable lenses formed of a one piece plastic molded frame that includes a pair of lens receiving sections, a pair of opposite strap receiving temple sections and a central bridge section integral with the lens receiving sections are described herein. The bridge section is split to define an upper bridge part and a lower bridge part which are capable of being manually distanced from one another so as to define a gap and allowing lenses to be mounted in the lens receiving sections. A fastening element extends through both bridge parts to secure them together once the lenses are installed in the lens receiving sections.

A protective eyeglass assembly for use during sport activities comprises a pair of separate lens frames individually cooperating with a lens holder to secure a pair of lenses therebetween. A detachable nose bridge interconnects the pair of separate lens frames with the lens holder so as to form a unitary eyeglass assembly, easily dismountable for lens replacement due to lens damage or lens prescription.

An eyeglass construction is described and comprises a lens, a pair of lens engaging members, a pair of hinge members, and a pair of temple pieces. The hinge members are adapted to slidably engage the lens engaging members and to be connected therewith for pivotal movement about a horizontal axis. The pair of temple pieces each have a portion adapted to engage a hinge member and to be connected therewith for pivotal movement about a substantially vertical axis. The lens engaging member and the hinge member have cooperating angular positioning elements so that the members may be adjusted relative to one another to enable the lens to adopt various angular position relative to the temple pieces.

Visor shield for sports headgear

The disclosure herein describes a face guard for a sports headgear that comprises a face shield and a chin contacting element hingedly mounted to the lower part of the face shield, inwardly thereof. In one embodiment, the chin contacting element is pivotally mounted within a chin frame which is, itself, hingedly connected to the face shield, wherein the downward movement of the chin frame is limited by its upper edge contacting the lower edge of the face shield.

The disclosure herein describes a protective sports headgear that comprises a helmet, an intermediate adapter fixed to the helmet and a visor shield hingedly connected to the adapter at opposite sides thereof. A pin mounted on the visor shield engages a locking element on the adapter, the locking engagement being manually releasable allowing the visor shield to be pivotally lifted over the forehead and the top of the helmet. The visor shield also includes an adjustment member enabling various positions of the visor shield relative to the helmet. A chin cup is hingedly mounted to the lower part of the visor shield.

The disclosure herein describes the combination of a strap and of a strap spreader for use in combination with goggles wherein the spreader is defined by a surface that fits the contour of the back of a wearer's head. The body includes points of attachment vertically distanced from one another on opposite sides of the body to spread the strap portions from one another at the back of the head. One application of such combination is its use by swimmers.
