The present disclosure teaches methods for digitally transmitting data. An example method may include: receiving a modulated signal containing at least one useful signal or noise or interference signals; repeatedly estimating at least one parameter of the received signal relevant to the demodulation of the useful signal; monitoring changes in the repeatedly estimated parameters; and detecting a useful signal based at least in part on whether one or more changes in the repeatedly estimated parameters satisfy at least one particular, predefined condition.

System and method for transmitting data with useful signal detection at the receiver end

A system providing a spread spectrum and a narrowband data transmission may comprise a DSSS transmitter and a DSSS receiver. The DSSS transmitter may convert a bit succession (d) into a chip succession (s) using a chip sequence (c, c') and send a succession of impulses (s(t)) corresponding to the chip succession (s). The DSSS receiver may receive impulses (s(t)) sent by the transmitter and filter the received impulses (r(t)) using a filter having an impulse response (x(t)) dependent on the chip sequence (c, c&#x2032;). The chip sequence (c) may be a spread sequence. The narrowband data transmission may use chip sequence (c&#x2032;) and a corresponding impulse response (x(t)) of the filter. The chip sequence (c&#x2032;) does not comprise a succession having two directly successive arithmetic sign changes and an arithmetic sign change does not occur after the first and before the last chip in the chip sequence (c&#x2032;).

Apparatus and method for narrowband data transmission by means of a DSSS transmission system

A circuit arrangement for adaptively suppressing interference signals includes a first local oscillator for generating a first local oscillator signal and a second local oscillator for generating a second local oscillator signal, each signal having an adjustable frequency. The circuit arrangement also includes a first mixer for converting a high-frequency signal into a corresponding intermediate frequency signal using the first local oscillator signal and a second mixer for converting the intermediate frequency signal into a corresponding baseband signal using the second local oscillator signal. The circuit arrangement also includes a notch filter with a rigidly defined blocking range. A control unit estimates the frequency of an interference signal contained in the intermediate frequency signal and to adjust the frequency of the local oscillator signals to the estimated frequency of the interference signal such that the frequency of the interference signal is converted into the blocking range of the notch filter.

Device and method for adaptively suppressing in-band interference signals in radio receivers

A method for allocating a transmission signal to a transmission channel which has a transmission bandwidth and a rated center frequency and which is established between a radio transmitter and a radio receiver has the steps: emitting the transmission signal on the radio transmitter end with an actual transmitter frequency; receiving the transmission signal in the radio receiver; determining the frequency of the transmission signal in the radio receiver; and deciding on the allocation of the transmission signal to a transmission channel if the frequency determined by the radio receiver lies in a predetermined frequency range.
