A gearbox housing with at least one first upper housing piece and a second lower housing piece, which may be detachably connected to each other. The gearbox housing has upper and lower housing pieces that are partially detachably connected to each other, with at least one rotating jointed connection between the upper housing piece and the lower housing piece, which are each arranged on a side described by the housing pieces in a view of the connection plane described by the profile and permitting a theoretical pivoting axis for pivoting the housing pieces relative to each other while maintaining the connection between the components. A catch is provided on the sides free of the rotating jointed connection.

A starter unit comprising: an input and an output; a starter element, configured as a hydrodynamic component comprising a drive element that can be coupled to the input in a rotationally fixed manner and a driven element that can be coupled to the output. The invention relates to an operating material supply device for hydrodynamic components, for example, hydrodynamic switching elements for use in starting units, retarder assemblies or gearing assemblies. The material supply device includes an operating material reservoir arranged in the housing of the starting unit, retarder unit, or gearing assembly and comprises an operating material sump with at least one filling line that connects the operating material sump to the hydrodynamic component. The operating material sump may be closed in a pressure-tight manner.

The invention related to a hydrodynamic-mechanical multi-speed compound transmission has at least four speeds. The transmission includes a transmission input shaft and a transmission output shaft as well as a hydrodynamic transmission part. Mechanisms are provided for by-passing the hydrodynamic transmission part during power transmission. The hydrodynamic transmission part includes at least one hydrodynamic speed-torque converter. The mechanical transmission part includes a mechanical speed-torque converting device with at least two planetary gear sets. The mechanical transmission part is designed in such a way that transmission ratios in the individual gear steps cause gear step jumps of phi &lE;1.45 between two successive gear steps of the individual speeds.

A valve device includes a valve housing with at least one inlet channel and an outlet channel. A valve piston can be moved axially in the valve housing and has control edges for releasing and blocking the connection between the cross sections of the inlet and outlet channels. A regulating device applies the actuating force to the valve piston. Elements produce a force opposing the actuating force through at least a part (a proportional area) of the overall working range of the valve device, depending on the pressure in the outlet channel.
