An electro-pneumatic brake system for an automotive vehicle, with a service brake arrangement and a park brake arrangement, comprising front and rear axle brake modules, each of front and rear axle brake module comprising an electrical control input and a pneumatic control input, a first bistable relay valve, possibly a second bistable relay valve to supply the trailer, first and second pressure control devices for generating first and second pressure, first and second service brake backup line, for supplying the pneumatic control input of the front and rear axle brake module, a swap arrangement configured to selectively connect the first pressure to the input of the first bistable relay valve or to the first service brake backup line, and connect the second pressure to the input of the second bistable relay valve or to the second service brake backup line.

Heavy duty vehicle redundant braking system

A wheel speed sensor system for a vehicle comprising at least one wheel speed sensor associated with a wheel of the vehicle, the at least one wheel speed sensor comprising first and second wheel speed sensing elements arranged in a single package to generate first and second sensed signals; first and second signal treatment units processing the sensed signals and generating first and second wheel speed signals; a signal combination unit communicatively coupled to the signal treatment units and to first and second electronic control units, to process and combine the wheel speed signals and simultaneously output a combined signal to the electronic control units; and a power management unit independently delivering electrical energy to the wheel speed sensing elements, the power management unit connected to the electronic control units so that the electrical energy is transferred from one or both the electronic control units to the power management unit.

An electro-pneumatic brake system for an automotive vehicle comprising brake actuators each with a service brake chamber and a park brake chamber, a service brake system forming a pneumatic main deceleration system and comprising service brake lines configured to supply air pressure to the service brake chamber of the brake actuators, a park brake system forming a pneumatic immobilization system and a backup pneumatic deceleration system, and comprising park brake lines configured to supply air pressure to the park brake chamber of the brake actuators, wherein the park brake system comprises a pressure controller device configured to perform a wheel anti-locking function under a condition of the park brake system being used as a backup deceleration system, the pressure controller device being configured to control the air pressure supply in the park brake lines.
