A conveyance element () for a conveyor (), in particular for a people conveyor such as a moving walkway (), is configured for being moved in a conveying direction and comprises an outer side () configured for accommodating and supporting passengers; and an opposing inner side () facing away from the outer side (). At least a portion of the inner side () is a concave portion () having a concave shape along the conveying direction.

Conveyance element for a conveyor

A moving walkway () comprises at least one endless belt () moving in a conveyance direction along a closed loop and a plurality of pallets (). The closed loop comprises a conveyance portion () and a return portion () extending between two turnaround portions (), respectively. Each of the pallets () comprises at least one mounting portion () rotatably attached to the at least one belt (), and at least one mechanical connection () connecting the pallet () with the at least one mounting portion () of an adjacent pallet ().

A fixing module () for fixing a pallet () of a pallet conveyor, in particular a people conveyor, to a pallet chain () comprises a pallet side () comprising a connection portion (), which is configured to be fixed in a non-rotatable manner to a pallet () of a pallet conveyor; a pallet chain side (), which is configured for facing the pallet chain () and for receiving at least one fixing element () protruding from the pallet chain (); and a securing mechanism (), comprising at least one moveable securing element () which is configured for securing the at least one fixing element () within the fixing module () so that the fixing module () is non-rotatably fixed to the pallet chain ().

A chain drive includes a chain configured to rotate in a closed loop forming a load track and a return track interconnected by first and second turnaround sections; a drive sprocket for driving the chain, the drive sprocket being located in the first turnaround section of the closed loop; and a polygon compensation system for compensating the polygon effect of the chain. At least one component of the polygon compensation system is located within at least one turnaround section.
