The present embodiments relate to a measuring apparatus and an associated measurement method. The measuring apparatus is installed on a line and includes a sensing unit having a first and a second voltage divider for producing a first and a second measurement signal with a measurement transducer. The first and second measurement signals are each forwardable via a measurement line directly to a signal transducer. The signal transducer is supplied with power via a supply line by being switchably connected to the measurement transducer.

Internal power supply of a device

A device for protecting a user includes a first current path including a first and second conduit, and a monitoring device for detecting an imminent overload of the electric user. In an embodiment, the monitoring device includes a first temperature measurement unit, a support, an evaluation unit and a first transducer to produce an electrically conductive connection between the first and second conduits of the first current path. The first temperature measurement unit is, electrically insulated from the first transducer and includes a first temperature sensor. An additional electrically insulating material; is arranged on a first lateral surface of the support between the first transducer and the support and the first temperature sensor is arranged on the support to detect a temperature of the first transducer. The evaluating unit is configured to detect an imminent overload at the user on the basis of temperatures detected by the first temperature sensor.

Device for protecting a user

A device is disclosed for protecting a consumer, with a first current path having two lines, and a monitoring arrangement for detecting an imminent overload of the electrical consumer. In order to enable the detection of an imminent overload of a consumer, it is proposed that the monitoring arrangement includes a first temperature measuring unit, an evaluation unit and a first measuring element, which establishes an electrically conductive connection between the two lines of the first current path. The first temperature measuring unit is electrically isolated from the first measuring element and includes a first and a second temperature sensor. The first and second temperature sensor of the first temperature measuring unit are configured to simultaneously record a temperature of the first measuring element and the evaluation unit is configured to detect an imminent overload of the consumer based upon the recorded temperatures of the first temperature measuring unit.

Device and method for protecting a consumer

A triggering unit includes a tappet having a moving bearing, a power accumulator, a holding device and a printed circuit board coil. In the normal state the power accumulator acts upon the tappet with a power accumulator force in the direction of the first stop position and the holding device holds the tappet with a holding force in the second stop position. A printed circuit board coil force can be generated by an activation of the printed circuit board coil. The power accumulator, the holding device and the printed circuit board coil are formed such that the tappet rests in the second stop position in the inactive state of the printed circuit board coil and through an activation of the printed circuit board coil, the tappet assumes the first stop position such that the triggered status is given.

Triggering unit for actuating a mechanical switching unit of a device

An industrial automation system for controlling the operating means of a technical process. The system includes fail-safe modules for interchanging process data with the operating means, i.e., actuating and measurement signals, stations having slots for modules, which slots are inter-connected by a backplane bus, a central processing unit at least for processing process signals from the technical process, and a field bus for transmitting data between the central processing unit and the stations. In accordance with the invention, the address relationship for the addressing of a fail-safe module by the central processing unit over the field bus for data processing purposes is permanently stored in a first memory in the respective module and is additionally permanently backed-up in the associated station. As a result, it is advantageously possible to safely and automatically recover the address relationships of fail-safe modules due to address relationships which have already been recognized as valid, such as during planning, being backed-up in a permanent, power-failure-safe manner at the station level. In addition, it is possible, when a module is exchanged, for a new module to reload the correct address relationships of the old module, which is no longer present, from the back-up means in the station.
