An elevator system includes a first and second elevator shaft, a first vertical guide rail disposed in the first shaft, a second vertical guide rail disposed in the second shaft, a plurality of elevator cars movable within the shafts along the guide rails, and a repositioning assembly configured to transfer the plurality of elevator cars from the first elevator shaft to the second elevator shaft. The repositioning assembly includes a repositioning track extending between the first and second shafts, and a repositioning carrier that is movable along the repositioning track, and configured to transfer the cars from a first repositioning position in the first elevator shaft to a second repositioning position in the second elevator shaft. The elevator system also includes an adjusting assembly configured to adjust the position of at least one of the first or second repositioning positions at least transversely to the repositioning direction.

Elevator system

A support device for supporting a rotary platform of an elevator. The support device includes a first form-fit engagement means at an end of a fixed first guide rail, said end facing the platform, a third form-fit engagement means at an end of a third guide rail fastened to the platform and rotatable with the latter. In an alignment of the platform to a first position, the first and third form-fit engagement means are arranged with respect such that, when the platform deflects, as around an axis arranged in a second direction, the third form-fit engagement means is supported on the at least one first form-fit engagement means.

Supporting device for a rotary platform in an elevator system

A drive arrangement includes a movable, rotatable rail segment of an elevator system. An electric motor moves the movable rail segment. The drive arrangement is configured to rotate the rail segment about an angle of rotation of less than 360&#xb0;. An inverter unit provides electrical power to the electric motor and is configured to receive a control command relating to the position of the movable rail segment and provide the electrical drive power based on the control command. The drive arrangement forms two or exactly three drive segments. Each drive segment includes an inverter unit and a coil arrangement, which is supplied with electrical power by the assigned inverter unit. Each inverter unit includes a communication unit, which receives the control command. The communication units are configured to specify amongst themselves a master communication unit and to specify the remaining communication unit as slave communication units.

Drive arrangement comprising a moveable rail segment

An elevator installation may include at least one car that is displaceable in an elevator shaft; a first supply unit for supplying the car with energy, material, and/or data; and an interchange arrangement for interchanging the first supply unit to the car whereby the first supply unit is removed from or attached to the car during ongoing operation of the elevator installation. The interchange arrangement may be configured to remove and/or attached one or more supply units from the car during a regular door-opening cycle where the car stops at a floor of a building in which the elevator installation is installed. A duration of time required to remove the first supply unit from the car, or alternatively add the first supply unit to the car, is less than a duration of time required for a regular door-opening cycle.

Lift system

An elevator system may comprise a vertical guide rail, a horizontal guide rail, a shaft relative to which at least one of the first or second guide rail is kept stationary, a rotatable rail segment, a car that is movable along the guide rails and switchable between the first and second guide rails via the rail segment, and locking devices configured to selectively secure an orientation of the car and/or the rail segment. A method for operating the elevator system may involve positioning the car into a transfer position on the rail segment while the rotatable rail segment is aligned with the first guide rail, rotating the rail segment into alignment with the second rail segment whereby movement of the rail segment is braked by a rotary brake, and securing the rotational position of the rail segment relative to the shaft with one of the locking devices.

Method for operating an elevator system

A holding device for holding a rotary platform of an elevator system. The elevator system includes an elevator car movable by way of guide rails; a fixed first guide rail fixedly arranged in a shaft and orientated in a first direction; a fixed second guide rail fixedly orientated in a second direction; and a third guide rail configured to rotate with respect to the shaft, and is secured to the rotary platform and is configured to rotate between an orientation in the first direction and an orientation in the second direction. The holding device includes a shaft mounting configured to secure the holding device to the shaft; a holding frame configured to at least indirectly secure the rotary platform to the holding device; and a first adjustment arrangement configured to adjust the orientation of the holding frame with respect to the shaft mounting.

Holding device

A guide rail for an elevator system may comprise at least two rail elements that together form a guide rail portion having a functional running track that extends in a travel direction. Each of the rail elements may be connected to a shaft wall of the elevator system. Furthermore, the at least two rail elements may be adjacent and spaced such that the at least two rail elements can thermally expand freely in the travel direction. Additionally, the at least two rail elements in a region of the functional running track may have mutually opposite borders that have complementary profiles. An arbitrary cross section of the guide rail portion perpendicular to the travel direction in the region of the functional track may run through at least one of the two adjacent rail elements.

Guide rail for an elevator system

The present disclosure relates to a method for mounting lift components of a lift system in a vertical shaft of a building with the aid of a mounting system which can be moved in the shaft, wherein the lift system has at least one cage which can travel along guide rails in the shaft. In order to develop the method to achieve shorter fitting times and less dependency upon how advanced the construction of the building is, according to the invention a mounting system is positioned in the shaft, having a support platform and a mounting platform, which are disposed one above the other, and having a lifting and pulling device, the support platform and the mounting platform being alternately fixed in position in the shaft and the platform which is not fixed in position at any one time is displaced in the vertical direction by means of the lifting and pulling device relative to the platform fixed in position. In addition, the invention relates to a mounting system for carrying out the method.
