A device for determining positional information relating to the position of a vehicle is configured to determine a measured value of an acceleration vector of the vehicle, and to determine a value of a dynamic component of the measured value of the acceleration vector caused by a movement of the vehicle. The device is further configured to determine an estimated value of the gravity vector based on the measured value of the acceleration vector and based on the value of the dynamic component, and to determine positional data relating to the position of the vehicle based on the estimated value of the gravity vector.

Method and device for pose data relating to pose of a vehicle

A vehicle control system for operating a driving function for the automated longitudinal and/or lateral control of a motor vehicle at a traffic node. The system includes sensors that provide situational data, and a control unit. The control unit identifies a lane in which the vehicle is located, in an approach road to the node, based on the situational data. The control unit determines whether at least one signal generator of a signaling unit of the node is relevant to a driving maneuver of the vehicle at the node, based on the identified lane. The control unit operates the driving function at the node based on whether at least one signal generator is relevant to the driving maneuver of the vehicle at the node.

Vehicle control system and method for operating a driving function at a traffic node

A device estimates an actual trajectory of a vehicle. The device is designed to determine a sequence of measured position values over a corresponding sequence of times by use of a position sensor. The device is further designed to determine a sequence of odometry values on the basis of sensor data from one or more vehicle sensors. The device is also designed to determine, as an estimation of the actual trajectory of the vehicle, a sequence of estimated pose values for the sequence of times and a systematic position offset for the sequence of measured position values so that an optimization criterion is improved, in particular is optimized at least locally.
