In various embodiments, a support device is provided for at least one covering element, in particular of a bumper device of a motor vehicle having at least one support body, on which at least one covering element can be arranged or is arranged, and having at least one support unit, which can be fixed or is fixed to the support body and to a vehicle structure or an impact device, which supports the support body when a load acting on the support body is less than a defined load and which releases the support body for a movement when the load acting on the support body exceeds the defined load.

Support device

A connecting part for connecting a bumper covering to a vehicle body is provided. The connecting part is fastenable to the vehicle body and serves as holder for the bumper covering. The connecting part includes a bearing portion that is at least partially brought to bear against a counterpart portion of the vehicle body. The connecting part also includes holding means by which, prior to fastening of the connecting part to the vehicle body, the connecting part is brought into a holding position on the vehicle body subject to the bearing portion bearing against the counterpart portion.

A front section for a motor vehicle body features a main frame that includes, but is not limited to an upper bumper carrier, a lower reinforcing element for the bumper that extends underneath the upper bumper carrier and a sub-frame that is elastically fixed on the main frame by means of a buffer. The buffer is held between an end piece of the reinforcing element and the main frame.

Front section for a motor vehicle

With a front structure for a motor vehicle, a holding mechanism for connecting a bumper to a fender includes a fastening strip and a guide rail. The fastening strip spring-elastically supports itself on the fender and is screwed to the guide rail. The bumper is latched to the guide rail.
