A time-division duplexing (TDD) system reduces crosstalk associated with signals communicated by coordinated dynamic time assignment (cDTA) transceivers. In some embodiments, the TDD system has both cDTA transceivers and legacy transceivers. Based on the dynamic allocation of downstream and upstream timeslots for the cDTA transceivers, timeslots for the legacy transceivers are selectively muted in an effort to limit the amount of near-end crosstalk (NEXT) that occurs in the TDD system. Thus, subscriber lines coupled to both cDTA transceivers and legacy transceivers may be bound within the same binder without significantly increasing crosstalk to unacceptable levels.

Methods, devices, systems and computer readable medium for utilizing interfaces of a network access device are provided. A network access device includes a subscriber interface with at least one subscriber port and a network interface. Methods include (i) checking whether configuration data can be obtained via the network interface; (ii) if the configuration data cannot be obtained from the network interface, checking a predefined condition at the subscriber interface; and (iii) if the predefined condition is fulfilled, enabling the subscriber interface for configuration purposes. Selectively utilizing interfaces of a network access device for configuration purposes

An aggregation module receives a data packet. A bonding engine of the aggregation module breaks the data packet into fragments, and each fragment is part of a bonding group that is assigned a sequence identifier that allows the data packet to be reconstructed from the fragments. Each fragment is provided to one of a plurality of transmitters to be transmitted over a data link. When a noise event occurs on one of the data links, the fragments stored at the transmitter associated with that data link are transferred to another transmitter within the same bonding group for transmission over a different data link.

Methods, systems, and apparatus for crosstalk avoidance in a telecommunications network are disclosed. In one aspect a telecommunications device includes a transceiver and a vectoring engine coupled to the transceiver. The vectoring engine can include a vectoring processor and vectoring control entity (e.g., apparatus). The vectoring engine is configured to instruct the transceiver to transmit, over a given line pair of a given vectoring group, initialization symbols at one or more configurable locations of a Time-Division Duplex (TDD) frame. For example, the vectoring engine can instruct the transceiver to transmit the initialization symbols beginning at a first symbol time following transmission, over other line pairs of the given vectoring group, of a Robust Management Channel (RMC) symbol.

Managing crosstalk in vectored transmissions

Methods, systems, and apparatus for crosstalk avoidance in a telecommunications network are disclosed. In one aspect a method includes determining, by a network element and for each vectoring group from multiple vectoring groups, a transmission load of the vectoring group based on transmission loads of links within the vectoring group; allocating, by the network element, a different transmission interval to each vectoring group from the multiple vectoring groups based on the transmission load of the vectoring group and transmission loads of other vectoring groups in the multiple vectoring groups; and transmitting, during each different transmission interval, at least a portion of the transmission load of the vectoring group that was allocated the different transmission interval.
